Just Wondering, About weapon Skills.

I've noticed my weapon skills go up as I am playing, but I'm just curious. Do these skills change with every new weapon you buy/use, or does it stay the same.

For e.g. - I have a melee weapon with the skill raised/levelled to 3.0.
I suddenly change and want to buy a new weapon.
Does that skill restart at 0, or does it carry on from 3.0 where I raised it to?

-You get skill points in each weapon category. They are distinct and will never overlap. i.e., 5 pts in sword does not transfer to dagger

-Every weapon in that category, however, has the same skill you already put into. i.e., getting 5 pts with a xiphos and switching to a mithran scimitar, you will still retain 5 pts because both are swords (one handed)
