  • Lure of the Wildcat-After all is said and done

    After running around Jeuno, Sandoria, Bastok and Windurst (in that order ;p) and finishing all 4 quests, the only real interesting pieces of information I found were that:

    Sandorian Monarchs dislike Aht Urhgan

    Cid isnt fond of them either

    Adventures are becoming mercenaries there

    and this:

    Now you know. Really not much more to say after that. Can't to see what the 4 key items do when the expainsion comes out.

    I'm sleepy

    EDIT: Another thing is that a ton of the NPCs invovled in the quest are terrified that the war in Aht Urhgan might fan the flames of another Great War.

        I guess that means that means that maybe another dock will be added in Mhaura for boats to and from Aht Urhgan. Yay?

          or they might add another section to Mhaura that you have to zone to get on the boat to Ahy Urhgan.

          Will have to do those quests sometime before the expansion comes out. So much to do...so little time...and only 1 day a week to play. D: /sigh

              no Prob. :D I recomend doing all 4 quests to get the key items since they hint at being needed to get into something in the Aht Urhgan capital.

                I'm thinking that doing them all will help in some way as well. If nothing more then just learning more about the Aht Urgan. I know doing the Bastok and Sandy versions I noticed that the NPCs in eac nation seemed to focus on different aspects of Aht Urgan. Bastok NPCs seemed to focus on the technilogical aspets as well as the 'seediness' of mercenary company and Sandy NPCs seemed to focus more on the Beastmen and an upcoming war. I'll prolly do the last two tonight, didn't even know Jeuno had a version of this quest to be honest, and get this out of the way asap. I got a feeling those NPCs won't be hanging around very long.

                    Re: Lure of the Wildcat-After all is said and done

                    Completed all four of them as well.

                    You forgot to mention about Aht Urghan have skilled alchemists, better than Bastok's alchemists, and they created the Lamia.

                    Also in Windy, they mention Aht Urghan have a from of automaton like how Windy has Cardians. . . they also hint that the Aht Urghan automatons may be unstable like the Cardians as well.

                    Also, the city does apparently get attacked by beastmen, found that out in Sandy.

                    And Aht Urghan is run by an Empress, by all the clues, she's devious and intimidatingly powerful.

                    They don't worship Altana but worship "false deities" instead.

                    Each of these quests offers you a different colored badge, when you speak to everyone you need to, return to the NPC that gave you the badge. They will take the badge from you and give you a corresponding color invitation card for you to get into "Salahalem's Sentinels", which if I read the clues accordingly is also operated by a female leader.

                    Jueno = white invitation card
                    Sandy = red invitation card
                    Bastok = blue invitation card
                    Windy = green invitation card

                    If I remember anything else, I'll post it, but it's 80 clues in all and no I didn't bother doing screenshots on any of them or transcribing notes.

                          Dunno exact pos, but they all stick out like a sore thumb:

                          Jeuno: Upper Jeuno, Artisan Bridge-Ajithaam (Hume)
                          Bastok: Port Bastok, Beligen Square-Alib-Mufalib (Taru)
                          Sandoria: South Sandoria, Lion Square-Amutiyaal (Elvaan)
                          Windurst: Windurst Woods, Ibwam (Hume)

                          All NPCs are wearing BRD JSE+Something else like Nashira, Homam, THF relic, or Hydra gear.

                            Or, to be a little exact, since Artisan Bridge is the whole main road, he is between exit to Batallia Down and the shop where Rolanberry is sold.

                              Examine the key item to get the <pos> of everyone you need.

                              From the recent updates on the site I think these invetations may be related to the Assault events in TOAU.
