OK, i'm working on the Uber Avatars atm.
So far you talk to Carbuncle at the spot you started your SMN Job quest.
Then you fight the avatars in an alliance.
My alliance is 12xSMN 3xRDM 2xBLM 1xWHM(me)
We took down Ifrit and then Titan with no problem at all.
We went to Garuda, and while we won 1st try, it took a while and we had problems, and several people died including me. (Took a while to Raise III everyone that died being the only WHM.)
Leviathan was too easy for us.
Shiva was a pain in the butt just because of sleepga and the fact nobody brought poisons. Other than that, wasn't too bad.
Ramuh was fairly easy, just a pain cuz of Paralyze spamming.
Looks like we gotta go talk to Carbuncle in La Thiene again, now.
On to Full Moon Fountain:
Opens up w/ Carbuncle Prime. 75% he dissappears and summons an avatar (in my case Ifrit). Kill Ifrit, and he will come back (health stayed same), take him down to 50%, he disappears and summons 2 avatars (In my case Titan and Ramuh). Kill these 2 and he comes back (w/ his 50% health still). Take him down to 25% and he dissappears and summons the final 3 avatars (in my case Shiva, Garuda, and Leviathan). Kill all 3, and then 5 Carbuncles will come out w/ the single Carbuncle's HP. That's as far as we got when time ran out...
Overall, the avatars aren't too hard, and nowhere near the strength of the ones fought before. The fact we ran out of time probably wasn't helped by the fact some people ditched us to go to bed after the last one...We didn't try again cuz even more people decided it was too late at that time. Guess I'll have to try again in the future. Just a side note, though, Fenrir's 2hr only did 50-60 Dmg to each Carbuncle.
EDIT: OK, I got invited to another PT when I was down there. We tried again. Ran out of time this time but we did much better, got down to 2 Carbuncles left and realized elemental avatars do more damage than Fenrir.
We ended up winning third time! 2 minutes left but a win is a win! All that dropped was Garuda's Sickle. Oh ya, and we got a Carbuncle Pole (which sucks). Biggest waste of time ever.
