Man, with that extensive and lengthy testing scenario, if we haven't found anything by now there's no way there could be anything we're missing.

I mean, it couldn't have taken more than 48 hours for the population to figure out Kung Fu Shoes gave +40 Kick Attacks. Or the -Perpetuation cost on the HQ staves. Or any number of other Hidden effects in items. Surely we've had them all worked out and down pat within 2 days. Surely....

    HAHAHA N00b FTW!!!

    What could its hidden be?

    -perp for carby? -Uselesss
Make is BP Timer less? -Useless
    Metorite do more dmg? -Useless

I mean come on, it's hidden whould have to give new BP's to avatars when equipd or -10 perp to spirits or Avatar Emnity +20 before it became good. Even then its not worth the 18 people to get it.

      haha very funny

however, this is a different scenario. No one was expecting to find the hidden effects of the staffs or shoes, there are plenty of pieces of unless gear that drop from mobs. This time, people actually tired different things to see if there was a hidden effect.

But hell your right I mean there must be a hidden effect or something. I mean after all the Carbuncle Pole is the only new avatar weapon that SMN can wear so there must be some hidden effect for avatars.

Sorry for the 'tude earlier. Had a tooth pulled earlier today. =P

Anyway, who knows with SE. They've made retarded useless items and uber yet cleverly disguised shyt for years. I won't cry foul at them til it's absolutely proven there isn't something we're missing though.

Just wondering, I saw this on mystery tour. It shows more than just the Carbuncle pole as a reward. According to them you can get these as rewards and mystery tour has always been pretty reliable.

Staff: Carbuncle's Pole: CHR+4 TP Bonus Latent effect: Light Damage Enchantment: Recover HP 0/30 0:30/[10:00 0:30]>
Bow: Ifrit's Bow: STR+3 Ranged Attack+10 Latent effect: Increases Rate of Critical Hits
Sword: Shiva's Shotel: INT +4 ACC+8 Shield Skill -5 Latent Effect: Ice Damage
          Dagger: Titan's Baselarde: VIT+4 Attack+8 Latent effect: ‚c28
          Scythe: Garuda's Sickle: AGI+4 Latent effect: Accuracy+13
Spear: Leviathan's Couse: MND+8 Attack+8 Latent effect: Water Damage
Club: Ramuh's Mace: DEX+5 Attack+5 Latent effect: Lightning Damage

            Re: New Avatar Fights

From what I understand, the Carbuncle Pole is the end quest reward and the other Avatar weapons are possible rare drops either from the super prime fights themselves, or the fight at the end. Unsure which.

              Re: New Avatar Fights

I did notice when we fought the Primes (Not the end BC but the 6 before hand) on our first fight (Ifrit) nothing at all dropped. All we got was the Key Item. Then on the rest of the avatars Clusters were droping. Once I was done with the CS (Me as the Leader of the Alliance) after we beat the avatar, the clusters would start poping into our Treasure pool. They would not all drop instantley, but 1-4 seconds bewtween haveing 1 and getting another. It was as if it was loading the drops or something. The reason I mention this is there might be different drops to these BC's. Like the weapons stated above. They could just be so rare we have yet to see them. Or they could just /randomly drop from the end BC.

To me it makes more sense when you fight Ifrit that Ifrit's Bow has a chance of droping, verses the end BC droping 1 randomly. My LS will be doing runs soon, I am looking forward to seeing if anything else drops. We are aiming at a clear time of under 2 mins per fight. To see if clear time changes the drop rate. We are going to be testing these out alot as I am begining (as is my LS) to think that theres more to this than a hard BC for crap rewards. I will post my findings if anything new turns up.
