  • Preordering ToAu

I've typically purchased from the local stores because I always forget to do the whole pre order bit etc. Am considering pre-ordering online for ToAu release and want to do so now before I forget again.

Any idea of when the preorders start etc? I've checked ebworld.com and amazon and saw nothing for the PC version.

Also, which way do you guys think is best, physical or online preorder? I live in the boondocks again now, so I'm quite afraid that I may not get my copy for weeks after the release if I do not buy it online. I do have 2 ebgames here though, but that's about it and 1 Best Buy. WalMart... can't depend on their game center here too well lol

Thanks in advance for any tips ^-^/

    Re: Preordering ToAu

I always pre-order through amazon as I don't get into the city much to do any shopping, though amazon is known for being out on their dates, look at FF12 I had it on pre order over a year ago, and now they have removed it from their list, same with FFVII Advent children, date has changed many times. The advantage of pre-ordering with someone like amazon is when it eventually gets released, you receive it on the release date.

Why would I bother? I already have both the expansions, along with the original CDs.

As far as I know you cant edit / add / remove content IDs on any other version software (EU / JP / NA) than you originally installed on.

Personally I think it is worth buying the Valadiel Collection (1 DVD = all the expansions and recent updates) which will save me around 4-10 hours per reinstall, and allow me to give a friend a free account, as well as someone else a buddy account.

Considering the above I dont think its very suprising :/

You can play diff versions with different content IDs, but you can only change the details (i.e buy/cancel/review) using the original POL viewing you installed with.

I had a US account and install. I quit. Came to reinstall and the CDs were broke expect POL Viewer.

I bought the EU game, installed with that. Using the US POL I reactivated my account. Then I logged on using the EU POL with my US POL details. I played the game fine.

Only downside to this is, afaik, you can't use the registration keys from a different region. So with the above I would have to import the new expansion pack to be able to use it on my US account. But I guess I would have to buy the EU version to install it.

That doesn't matter for me now tho, I scrapped my US account and just started again with my EU version and a new server. ^^
