I don't know if any of you are familiar with Bill Engval stand up comic routines "People ask stupid question.." but I decided to acted the same.

Some yesterday asking me if it was a spell that I bought that makes me a dancing taru (I do /panic motion after casting a spell). So I had to reply : "Yep, It's a quest in Jeuno, you should try it.". He replied "Oh that's cool". Then all the player in my group /tell to me :-P

As I recall, when the NA crowd first came to the servers, Drks were all the rage and if anyone bothered to be a Rng, it had to be Rng/Thf.

LOL ... who remembered dual wielding 1hd-sword DRG/NIN? Oh yeah, that was a very popular combo in open beta I remembered partying with one in Eldieme ... but the party was also kinda ... weird. RDM/SMN ... RDM/WAR ... oh god ...

Heh, I remember one guy yelled at me because I was Thf/Nin. He said that advanced jobs were only meant to be main jobs. I laughed at him and went on my merry way.

Well,the 360 crowd will learn quickly how to play correctly. FFXI is very unforgiving to those that only want to half heartly play. Unlike X-Box Live which seems to promote childish behavior,FFXI will and in due course,weed them out. ^^

love the xbox 360 live feature of blocking the player you want to from being in a game with you.

You guys are taking this far too seriously.

xbox360 beta is free, and available to everyone. Say the word free attached to anything and you will get all walks of assholes looking for a free lunch. If ffxi cost so much as 50 cents you elliminate most of these losers.

Consider the fact most are not even RPGers.

FFXI is a free beta and not anyone has played any MMO's before but i've seen things were there is no excuse for. I was in Jeuno waiting for the Kazham airship to arrive. I saw an Elvaan warrior sitting next to me, telling me he is excited to go to kazham. Nothing wrong with that. I just did a /check on him and what I saw was beyond anything I ever seen : A level 27 warrior without a subjob, using a level 9 sword and level 10 shield. How can someone be able to get to level 27 without a subjob is beyond me but worst how can anyone invite and allow a warrior without a sub at this level is again an unanswer question.

You would think that this warrior which will remain unnamed, is an isolate case. The answer is no. I did a /sea 21-27 all and the result was staggering. A sub job is not an option in this game, It's MANDATORY. The game difficulty is based on the fact that you have a subjob. Not having one, is gimping your character to a level where you are a danger for the players you are grouping with.

I was leveling my new summoner's job in the Konschat Highlands and saw a Level 14 BLM with nothing but level 1 stuff you get when you start your character. Onion staff and basic hume armor. I know armor is not important for a mage but there is a limit.
