Luck Rune

Pardon me if this question has been answered else where in the forums, but I was unable to find my answer via search.

Luck runes appear all over Vana'diel, and I still have no idea what they're for.

Anyone have a clue?

Not certain yet what they are, what I can tell you though is I'm finding "Luck Runes" in nearly every single zone. The zones that are new player zones the "Luck Runes" are hidden off pretty well, you'd probably never see them in the new player zones unless you're like me and just have a morbid fasination of running around different zones to explore every little nook and crany you can find.

The closest speculation I can find to them is that they belong to the quest in Mhuara/Selbina with the fortune teller. They give you a direction to head to find your luck or whatever, you find this Luck Rune and tag it. If it is the right Rune you get a prize, if not then nothing happens.

The quest is also gear related, so whatever gear you wore when you talked to the fotune tellers is the same gear you need to be wearing when you tag that Rune.

That is ofcourse still just all speculation, I haven't found anything to give me hard evidence that this is the quest or much of what the rewards are.

EDIT:

Searched a few JP sites to see if I can get any info about those. So far the general concensous is that the Luck Runes just activate randomly. If you happen to examine one while it's active you get an crystal of a random element.
