For a normal first time to 75, expect 5-6 months at least. Enjoy the trip, its the fun part of the game if you take you time. For the hardcore, it can be done from scratch in a month. Just had the most hardcore of hardcores return from WoW a month ago and restarted from scratch. He is now 75 nin/war. Keep in mind though he had lvled several jobs to 75 before switching to wow and use to run an HNM shell that helped him when he returned.

I started this game with friends, actually bought one of them a copy. We all picked our jobs at level 30 and formed a static from there. A year and a half later after drama, members quitting, new friends, etc we decided to level on our own. Were all still friends and hang out everyday.

I agree with others and speak from experience when I say... if you rush things you wont last long in this game. Many people started the game and passed us in leveling only to quit before I even hit 75.

Enjoy the ride, make friends, and build a good reputation for yourself.

I can tell you burnout is real. I took monk from 1-67 in about three months and got tired of it for the most part. I then started ninja and took it from 1-57 in about three weeks now. I'm not tired of ninja yet but it may happen. I avoid burnout by switching jobs I guess.

I have been on the receiving end of some flack from friends for not getting mnk to 75 before starting ninja but whatever. I say do what you want in the game. If you get pleasure in soloing EPs for months to get one measly level do it. If you like doing missions do it. If you like racing to 75 so you can fight gods or whatever do that.

Do NOT let anyone else dictate your pace in this game or tell you what to do. Have fun ^^
