my current character is at 37 days, and is level 53, 40, 40, and 37 with most other jobs at 20. but, it was my second character, so i knew what to do, and i don't camp very much.

On the contrary, I level moderately slow. Of course, ppl who I have been with since I started have multple jobs level 75, but on one hand, that's excessive. On the other it shows what you can do. . . and on the third hand, it's quite sad that they had that much time to play =P So my friends are like "Oh took you mad long to get to 75!" and I'm like "I'm sorry that my 3.5 GPA and my life got in the way of my gaming"

i have over 310days playtime, and am working on my sixth set of af. Regardless of how shitty things get in this game, i dont forsee myself ever quitting, unless some new fantastic morgh came out, even still id play both til i decided

I just started and it seem that alot of the problems are because of people not wanting to be ligitimate and earn the items. lots of people want freebies instead of earning it.

Huh? It's a figurative statement, not to be taken literally. -_-;;

I'm saying, many players out there would rather buy their materials to craft with than farm them. They use many excuses, and the best lines they use, they try to justify their gil buying with them and at the same time, make a derogatory remark towards players who simply have more time to devote to this game.

Beta: 21 Days and some hours
Aliza: 137 days 17 hours
Akemie: 6 days 8 hours
Total of other characters: 11 days 5 hours

I will not quit. The low/mid level items are marginally - if not at all - affected, because the items that lowbies attain stacks of during levels 1-10 have raised in price. Many items can be purchased from vendors, as well.

Of course, that doesn't speak for the "itamz", such as S.Harness and Hauberk.

Would I quit? NEVER! Like many others that have posted before me, I would only contemplate quitting if Medschool just ups and kicks my ass or if everyone I know ingame just decides to quit. The economy (though it can be frustrating) is just not a big enough reason to give up this game that I love. Look at it this way: 6 months ago I would mine to make money. I would get roughly 3 gold or darksteel ores an hour. Usually much more darksteel than gold. Those darksteel ores can be crafted into ingots rather cheaply (I get lots of tin ores mining too). Now, 6 months ago the ingots went for 30-40k. Now they're going for nearly 150k. 6 months ago I was making about 100k an hour. Now if I mine I can make up to 450k an hour. They go for three times what they did 6 months ago. Besides a cpl items like the amemet mantle and maybe a few others, hardly any items are going for 3x their value from last summer. The way I see it, it has mostly evened out, and in some ways its even benefited me on a few items.

Oh yes, the, "I buy gil because I don't have time to farm" bullshit. I think that's a load of crock, and I have to say, that there are a ton of ways any level gamer can get money.

I had mayve 25k on me and i was DEAD broke, couldn't buy a stack of food ot exp, ride the choco to get there, and have enough money to get back home or something if i needed to outpost ._.

So i decided to fish. You can buy everything from Guild in Windy, get support and fish up moat carps, which are 10k a stack. Things arent that hard, ppl are just too lazy.

My sympathies, Hamiko, because Remora is the most jacked-off server, aside from Midgard. Sad thing is, Remora players control their GSers, by virtue of out-gaming, but even with GS being limited, Remora's economy is fsked cause us gamers, by nature, are greedy ingrates who like hoarding all we can by anymeans necessary. . .
