Will you Quit?

I have been playing, and enjoying this game for long time.

However, the events that have occured over this holiday season have seriously given me reason to pause and reconsider the value of this game.

There are plenty of discussions out there about why the economy has spiralled out of control, and it is not my intent for this to be one of them.

There is a lot of thread like this. I don't see a reason why u need to post this.

No matter how much some things in FFXI might decline, players here are mostly too involved and dedicated to the community to leave. It was the same for me, the only reason why I left was my RL life was pretty busy (college stuff). Would have never left even if the economy might be suffering.

I did quit, but not because of the economy, only because I needed a break. I plan to return in a few months no matter what the economy is like.

I have absolutely no reason to quit. I came back to the game very recently, and actually started over with a new character (quit a year ago). I would rather stay in FFXI with a buggered economy than to keep playing WoW or GW.

So, if i understand you folks correctly, you ARE saying this game stinks as it stands, but it is better than the possible alternatives?

ive put too much work into my character to quit over something like this. and remember, when prices go up, that means you get to SELL for more too =D

The economy stinks in real life but none of us quit doing what we have to do every day just because of it. The same thing applies to FFXI. We want to kep going on so we adjust and deal with it.

Ditto. My characters represent a huge chunk of my entertainment. I am always able to log in and find something to do and have fun. I squeeze every single drop of fun out of my $$ every month. If I am not having fun then I take a break. A day, a week, a month, or a couple months....whatever it takes. But I always come back.

Same. I've played too long and put too much effort into my character to simply delete it. Also I've met a lot of people that I normally wouldnt have by playing this game. Until they all go, I'm staying put. :D

i stopped playing for a year and yeah the economy is pretty bad, now that im back on but wow got boring and guild wars blows. i guess it just mean i got to go kill shit more ^^ all i want form the game is more job classes and races. they can rape me with money all they want.

Same here. I would have voted but there was no real option of "No, I'm not quitting. I love this game too much" ^^
