My sympathies, Hamiko, because Remora is the most jacked-off server, aside from Midgard. Sad thing is, Remora players control their GSers, by virtue of out-gaming, but even with GS being limited, Remora's economy is fsked cause us gamers, by nature, are greedy ingrates who like hoarding all we can by anymeans necessary. . .

Hades is no better than Midgard now. I think it's because of all those Fairy immigrants >.> But in all seriousness, many servers are experiencing price surges, so I wouldn't just point to one server and say that the problem only exists there ...

I've been told it was mainly because of a "Holiday Season" surge in gil buying. I've checked IGE and all server and none are accepting gil sales, so one would only assume the market is over saturated at the moment.

From what I've seen the economy is more or less good at balancing itself. Sure things are expensive on the AH, but that also means you make more money from the items YOU sell. It would be nice however if NPC buy prices scaled with the AH inflation, but really the money you make has always been based on AH prices.

Trust me, it could be worse. In WoW where you can only take 2 crafts, relatively low level crafted equip using semi common materials sells for outrageous prices sometimes.

FFXI has been very stable compared with other MMO's. Have you forgotten about SWG banning all those people for having innocently received duped items, and GMs teleporting people into space for protesting? Not to mention they REDID the whole class system and actually took out certain classes leaving some people without characters. What about the WoW incident where they had to refuse players for a period of time due to too many players. Bots and hacks were far worse in EQ, and what about ROs constant server hacks and player rollbacks. How would you like to have to go from 65 to 75 3 times in the course of 3 months and lose items because SE cant keep hackers out of the servers?

SWG is just evil, but I never knew about THAT.
WoW got really popular really fast.
I played and QUITTED RO on the grounds that my account got hacked, asked them to fix it and they took forever to, sapping my 3 months gametime completely. Oh, and it's totally levelgrinding.

I have absolutely no reason to quit. I came back to the game very recently, and actually started over with a new character (quit a year ago). I would rather stay in FFXI with a buggered economy than to keep playing WoW or GW.

This is my exact situation. Came back about 1 month ago, started on a new server because I had been gone over 1 year. Yes the economy sucks, but the people in my new LS are cool and the community is way better thans WOW's was.

I honestly have no clue what's going on, but either way I'm staying. I've been waiting to play this game ever since it came out and now that I can I'm staying on it. So you've got one more annoying noob that's gonna hang around until the day that the Beastmen will rule the world. And that ain't happenin'.

I won't quit until a better MMORPG comes along or until it gets in the way of my next life.

Hell, despite it not having Necromancy or Assassin, FFXI still has the best job-setup in itself, one of my major reasons I came to FFXI was so I could play DRG. Now, I stay because I don't see better job/race setups in other MMORPGs, and then as some said-there's the community inside FFXI. Finally, I love my character too much to leave her for another MMORPG or even another server.

then again, i came from ragnarok and the asshats there are what made me leave.
i think i need another server. :p

i've wasted some 167+ days on this game. thats nearly half a year. orz.
but, i'll do it again in a heartbeat.

yes it is. it was actually better the first time it was created. when the second round of migrations happened we really got some crap thrown in.

i play ffxi and wow right now, just wow becuz my brother and bro in law plays with me, its been said but ill just reinforce how immature everyone is on wow, all they do is make bad chuck norris jokes and it hurts my brain, they're so stupid.... anyways if ffxi had an open pvp the way wow did no one would mention wow in the same breathe as ffxi... and i think one of the only ways to fix this inflation is make new servers and not allow people to transfer over, new chars only, but thats never gonna happen, so might as well just adapt to what we have now, sides people can only sell items for so much right hahahaha

oh and if you're quiting on Titan send your gil to Atomsk ^^
