square enix and their infamous gilseller problem

    As said a while ago, i never saw how exactly did the Gilsellers introduce gil into the economy magically, they cant dupe gil out of nowhere. The gil has to come from somewhere, and seeing most gilseller tactics come from NM items and in Midgard, mining Gusgun, i find it hard to believe they are the sole cause of whats going on(much less major).

    However if it was the Rusty Cap thing that generated this much....then i guess i really underestimated fishbotting...

      You did underestimate fish botting. One mule could easily bring in 3-5 million in a week of fishing for 4-5 hours a day. Some people had multiple accounts, all running on windower/other computers. Many of these people kept these bots running almost 24/7. Pulling in a HUGE amount of gil. I've heard of upwards of 20 million being brought onto the server by a single bot before.
