Were to find

I just started out a couple of days ago and need to know were to go to buy armor for a whm. Will I need to syn it or can I go to another town and buy it and which town caries clothes for a whm?

Any info will be great.

at low levels you can buy all your armor off NPCs, check http://ffxi.somepage.com/ and look around

yeah, if you just started, you will want to avoid the auction house. there are stores scatered around in every town that sells cheap gear you can use.

which town are you in? if you're in windhurst, there are several shops in port windhurst that sell cheap gear (off the boats, in the port) in sand'oria, south sandy has some shops. (from the residential area, run past the auction house. when the road forks, take the left street and enter a building on your left with a sign. the shop is upstairs). i assume bastok's shops are in bastok markets, but i don't ave the location of their stores memorized
