SE has always been actively manipulating the economy by controlling drop rates, NM spawn timing and their respective drop rates or even wat they drop!!!!!

The whole trend has created one strange scenario, if only they would conduct a statistical analysis of money-in-hand held by players, SE will most likely discover that a high percentage of the money (gils) in the economy is in the hands of a handful of high lvl players. What I am saying is end game players exchange among themselves ultra-expensive gears and render some gear in mid-lvl ultra expensive as they can afford them with one end game job at HNM LS. If u consider the stat +1 gear contributes vs their respective price increase, its almost a joke on such drastic price increase. But thats it, ppl with gils to spend, further intimidating the new players in our community.

The trend will in return make the game more difficult for new players: consider 2 search comments:

    "War, lvl 15, <subjob> <need> <help> <welcome>
<please invite me>" (also checked as rank 2)

"War, lvl 15, your choice of subjob ^^)b,
All +1 gears, melee skills capped" (also checked as rank 10)

    whom will u invite? !!!!

The game has becoming more and more difficult for new players to fit in and excel. The population has been getting old (in terms of player's lvl) and players staying are pushed to go back the round track to lvl another job, these returning players nurture the culture of requiring of one end game job to climb the ladder.

If you look at all these new gears, or even AF1 +1, u will note its just some stat + and some stat u let go, i.e. all these equipments are further broken into respective usage in different circumstances, thus enhancing the endgame (i.e. I mean the game is at its end) feeling.

We should let high lvl players to go on with their lvl pursue. A further increase in lvl cap should be introduced much earlier, I wonder wat will happen when WoW's expansion is out (with lvl cap increased), we may say WoW players are players seeking an "easy" online game. I doubt so, when u look at their nos. of player, u will wonder if Blizzard is doing something right and continue to response to players' pursue; while SE is continuously doing many things to justify "their" design, sending high lvl players back to low lvls (with high lvl supporting finance) to compete with newbies. New players come and go, not necessary because the game lacks the content, but maybe the game lack the space for them to grow and lvl.
Very good points you have but that's the reality of the game unfortunately. But there is some good news, you don't really see a whole lot of jobs that twinked out. My friend just started as a THF and no sub and he has had not problem with PT's whatsoever. Once you get a subjob it definately gets easier to find a party. And as for the level cap being raised, I think its fine where it's at right now because Square wants you to go and level another job. I can't see them raising the cap unless they make some spells useable only when it is equipped as the main job. Just my 2 cents and still waking up, so sorry if none of this made any sense. ^^

    Just Be.

I have seen some of the prices to buy gill.. I mean, even the price for a million gil is too much for me. Seen on Ige.com. .. Or do sites actually have lower prices? And that list of items you mentioned.. she must be a millionair in real life.

Re: When someone goes around shouting in Jeuno

There's several well known gil buyers on my server, but I will not name them here. They possess so much wealth and yet in so little time. For example, there's this one player who is a high level goldsmither. However, from what I know for a fact, this person was wealthy even before getting into the craft, which incidentally is the first craft that the person got into. If you look at that, then you can say that someone bought gils in order to get to a point where that person did not need to buy anymore gils (Financially solvent through gil buying is not an uncommon practice)

I also know of a gil buyer who is in fact a child of a very wealthy business person, so the idea of them being wealthy in the first place and dropping $1,000s into the game is not out of the possibilty. Has anyone considered how or why Gil Sellers remain in business and seem to continually do great business? If your definition of a gil buyer is someone who will only buy 2 million gil every 9 months or so, then the Gil Sellers won't make enough money to stay in business. It's either EVERYONE buying gil every month or a very few players buying millions and millions of gil every month. I'm betting on the latter ...
