I got mine. bastok market is the only place I did the event.

traded my first 2 cards I got snowballs. 3rd card NQ. Someone shouted he has card for 50~blm with the robe, I tell him and got my 4th card which the moogle gave me HQ for.

capella card? I can't remember the name. But somehow the person shouting had to know this card is for HQ robe... there are many shouts saying they have cards for person with the NQ. So I guess they can really know it's the HQ card.

Ironically to get the HQ robes 2 people must have NQ robes. When you trade in the card to the moogle with a NQ robe on the card becomes a HQ robe option, the moogle will specify after telling you what [job] and [level] to look for that they should also have a red robe (Dream Robe).

The message for trading with a person who has a red robe (HQ version) only comes up if you trade to moogle while wearing the Dream Robe. From what I've seen so far the possible jobs that moogle will request seem to be a job that someone else participating in the event will have (This includes if they are in one of the other two nations not your own).

So it is possible to get a card requesting for someone who matches that specifics in a different nation. Part of the reason you can notice this is the frequency and jobs at which will be requested. It requests jobs in the 20 and 30 range far more then it ever does 40-70 ranges and in the 10s range right between those two. There might be a trick to it to influence the moogle to pick a job and level more frequently too, at one point while I was doing it the moogle gave out all cards requesting a BLM 20s after I had been trading out nearly every card type that existed as a BLM 29.

It seems kind of like the moogle records info of who accepted the quest, the card then becomes marked of a job and level of yours as it's final pick. While it is circulating around the card type remains the same just who needs to trade to moogle next changes. It seems to be after that card itself is on it's 4th trade that it becomes active to get the +1 robe just the same as needed for NQ.

not yet, wasted so much time exploring how the event worked. Got to get +1 robe again, logged out without one dropped the previous 2 I had to test the event mechanics more

This event is seriously hectic there seems no reason to do anything. Everyone wants a card but no one is giving them out? Or very few are giving out.

I think what happens is that many players figure that instead of wasting time finding someone to give the card to, it would be simply easier to just sit around the moogle waiting for a player to get a card with one of any jobs that they have. This disgusts me, because there are players that will take advantage of other players, particular new and inexperienced players. Most of the players I've seen done this on Hades are from HNM shells (You can check them if you don't believe me and they have their LS pearl equipped) Really makes a nice event turn into an ugly one.

On a side note, Macht, I noticed that when I picked a card with one of my account and talked to the moogle with the other account, I got a card which matches the job and levels of my first account. I had a level 18 RDM pick a card and it specified that I find a level 50 WAR (Who happen to be someone that went just before me) and when I used my level 37 THF to pick a card, it picked up a card for 10-19 RDM - which is exactly what my first account was.

Seems to be a way with enough players, you could circumvent the need to depend on random players to finish this quest quickly.

Yeah, unfortunatly almost every event turns out nasty like that. The irony is the ones doing this are the same ones that don't realize they need to get a card on it's 4 trade in.

If the players playing for the fun of the event start keeping tabs they can exclude out the cheap f***er and those ones will never get their Dream Robes or even the +1.

Actually shouldn't say never, if the mechanics work like I think it does they'll end up getting it last when most of the others have already received it.

Spent about an hour standing around in Woods shouting my job levels and what cards I had to give out. In that time only one person had a card that matched my levels and nobody had a job that matched my cards. Pretty lame.

I think I may just skip this event. It seems like a lot of trouble, and the Dream Robe doesn't even look that cool or have that neat of an effect, unlike the Trick/Treat Staff II and Dream Hat +1 which were totally worth the time and money I spent on them.

Yeah, that can happen considering that the job and level you get can be from anyone participating in the other 2 nations too.

First 4 cards traded = NQ Dream Robe
Second 4 cards traded = HQ Dream Robe
Third 4 card traded = 3 Chocobo Tickets

Working on my 4th in other nations as well.

You get the Dream Hat +1 the same way as last year. Set up all 3 trees in your mog house, and eventually your moogle with give you a present that appeared under one of your trees. Use the present as an item outside and you will see an Air Rider firework and recieve your Dream Hat +1.

Not certain you need all 3 trees, but you almost certainly need the NQ Dream Hat. I got mine last year after obtaining the other 4 items.

I don't think you need all three trees for the Dream Hat +1. I think I just had the Windurstan tree when I did the event last year.

I could be wrong, it was a year ago.
