Okay...so if a lot of SMNs do this fight, and chose this, that means pretty much an entire class will be selling it's HQ staves once it gets to 75.....So do you think this will cause the prices of HQ staves to fall?

SMNs won't sell HQ light and Dark staves though......they need those >_<

Yes, but you'd think, if 75SMNs got this, they'd be selling their staves...I plan on doing RDM, and having a full HQ staff set when I can afford it, I'm hoping that with the 75 SMNs who have this, there will be a signifigant drop in price.

Unlikely, when you get full HQ staves, you wanna keep them for another job unless you are dirt poor and cant farm jack. >_<

I don't think so. The perpetuation cost as I heard only lowers the MP cost to summon but doesn't lower the MP consume while the avatars are out right? But the HQ staffs lower both cost of summonning and keeping them out.

After all, you have to complete all CoP to be able to fight bahamut... I say there are more players who can't go fight bahamut than the ones that can. Not to mention RDM BLM PLD BRD that will keep their HQ staffs too, and I don't think anyone who completed CoP will only have 1 job 75. SMN after all is great to have for mission/quest/BC but are not a very popular merit choice, many SMN level either BRD or RDM for merit points.

- perpetuation cost lowers the amount of mp your avatar drains while it is out. It has no effect on the cost it takes to summon an Avatar.

Don't need CoP complete to fight him. Just need to be in chap4 which is just after beating diablos. Not too hard for most.

You do need to complete CoP to fight Bahamut. The events take place after you've killed (THE COOKIE MONSTER). Beating him though atm does not give any rewards other than a title and a Whipser of the Wrymking. There is speculation of a second BC, called "The Wrymking Decends" against Bahamut as well as the 4 CoP Wryms (though it'd take more than 18 to kill those 5...)

I think a good bulk of level 75 SMNs have at least one other mage job at 75, so I would have to say no, this will not lower the cost of HQ staves. What are the other mage jobs that a level 75 SMN might also have at level 70+? WHM, BLM and RDM. Can these job classes make use of HQ staves? Damn straight and in particular the latter two job classes would own a set of elemental staves.

It depends...inv space is not free. You moogle can only hold so much... you have 8 elemental staves vs 1 staff...

well I would keep light staff and dark staff...but others...you can always buy them back later when you need them.

It will depend if the need is great enough.

Bahamut can't be summoned, he doesn't have an avatar 'model' like Diabolos. No one has been able to reach the second battle, nor know its exact stats.

Exactly! Also, with the way inflation seems to be going, I wouldn't be surpised the people that do sell off pump the price up a few 100k at the same time.
