i have the very ame problem, first i thought it is because i had some dat files swapped. but that wasnt the prop. i also havent load the upgrade yet.

You havent updated? Wow... SE have ballsed up on an entirely new level. Well, at least we now know they know of the problem and are working on it. Myguess is as it seems to crash as friendslist is downloading, theres a major mess up on the server their end somewhere, but this is just a total guess.

Unfortunately, the causes are currently unknown, but we are continuing our investigation into this issue affecting many of our customers.

Actually, they don't know whats going on.

Yea, i said they know OF the problem, not what it is At least if they know there is one, they are going to be trying to find out a way to fix it ASAP.

Yay, same here. Only time I get to play all week and this happens. So much for getting the patch. Maybe by next week S-E will have fixed this.

i was told that my POL don`t wanna load on too, and i have no update installed, so there seem to be a POL problem, i dunno if that has something to do with SE and ffxi update.

i eventually try to copy a pol.exe later when i`m home (and backup the old).

if i can get it to work i`ll let you know (in about 8 hours T.T)

Dont do that, it's problem their side. Just be patient and wait, there is nothing you can do to fix it.

Bugger all we can do about it, complaining between each other here wont help. S'pose we just gotta wait and find something to do till they decide to fix it.
