I guess I just don't see how thats politically incorrect in the slightest. I suppose I'm too naive or what have you. I remember the goold old days when a cartoon character could fall into a barrell of rum and get drunk, or Jerry would smoke a cigarette just before he thought Tom was going to kill him.
I guess if a kid saw that, he'd get a real gun and go to a train station and start shooting people. Sad how we blame everything on the media, but I suppose thats a topic for another thread. Le sigh.
I do hope they start airing some ffxi commercials here in the States. I'm not holding my breath, but it would be nice.

Omg, why is that second commercial banned, it's so funny. I wish I could see that commercial on TV instead of the one where they skip rope and then it says Xbox360....that one makes no sense....ok well....depends which way you look at it, I guess teh Xbox360 commercials are really focused on the online aspect.

the video was banned because people thought it promoted guns.. to kids.. or something.. but holly hell that was a great commercial!

The second one is nice and funny, but sadly with all the tragic shootings going on (and people blaming it on GTA, and Doom ect ect), it wasn't allowed to air. Microsoft would just be setting them up for someone to blame them for a bus stop shooting (a la Jack Thompson).

You know it would happen to. OH I DID IT BECUZ I SAW DEM XBOX COMERICAL, the one where they are all holding up their hands, and going BOOM. So I wanted to do it too, so I bought a real shotgun and went and did it!

I have to say the second commecial was worth it XD I'm not a fan of XBox at all but a commercial like that would totally help change my mind if I ever considered getting one. Kind of a shame that we miss out on a lot because people in America are way too concerned with playing the blame game ><

On a recent CSI Miami they had an episode about 3 people going into a bank and robbing it. The robbery wasn't typical though. At one point one of the robbers was going to rape a young lady........in the middle of a robbery? They also took the manager hostage. Well it all boiled down to a video game. (The box for the game looked suspiciously like a GTA game.....coincedence? HAHAHHAHA) Seems the robbers were imitating the video game. They would keep "score" of their accomplishments just like in the game too. The guy who created the game wouldn't help the police and eventually the police found out he was behind the real life "game" and supplying the young people with weapons.

There were so many holes in this show it wasn't even funny. They were also very careful to make sure that every person involved in the game looked very young but stated they were over 18. One guy was a mogul of a company and he looked like he was in high school. LOL Watching it totally pissed me off and sent me on a letter writing campaign. All in all it was just another attempt at the media to brainwash people that video games are evil. What a load of crap.

I watched that CSI show because it was intresting, I found that even though it was fiction, it was pretty damn cool...
