    I would rather see more small group stuff than solo... like 2-3 people doing stuff 6 do.

      Also there's a lot of content for the light players in the future.
      yay!! I might be able to actually get to 75! (I'm not a light player, just lack of time lol)

        I agree. I think that if planned thoroughly, solo content and play will be most welcomed by over 70% of FFXI players.

        I still hope they have something for the really hardcore players though, so both kinds of players will be happy to get something in the new expansion.

              The last thing SE needs to do is turn this into a noobfest via WoW-ism. I hope they keep it balanced. FFXI is about player interaction. If they change that, they would be destroying the theme of the game and ect.

                ha, itd take quite a few mistakes to turn things into WoW, that game is too dang easy, and FFXI is far from that, mostly in the respect of time that needs to be put in it. so i doubt anyones gonna break ffxi anytime soon. looks like i picked a good time to make a comeback

                  Well, as the poet said, he'd like to see them make something more availble to small groups. With the fellowship quest in full swing now, the last update having made it possible to increse the job to what, 75? Not sure myself. That would answer that. A few solo-zones that you and your NPC could travel in, slaughter stuff with mild difficulty, would be a nice change of things. It would put more of an Adventureous theme into the game, as now you can have little adventures, which involve loading yourself with a ton of silent oils and prism powders and sneaking around afraid of being seen by even the smallest little rahab.

                    I agree, I liek the idea of solo content, but i dont like the idea of Focusing purely on solo. Im all for a balanced game for those who like to PT and solo, but they should kepe the focus on group play even if its small groups.

                    The one feature id like to see is the ability to go to amoogle and have a moggle cap.
                    Say you want to help a friend level but you dont have a job that level. You can take it from 75 on down. thatd be nice.

                      I agree with you, that would help alot when you form PTs since you would be able to ask your friends and guys in LS if they would like to join with a higher job.

                        I believe leaning towards smaller groups, lets say 3 people, would be the ideal in this game, at least for me.

                        Put simply, I've never been a large group person, but I do enjoy working with people who I enjoy interacting with.
                        Unfortunately, the number of people on my server that think or act in a fashion close to mine is low, to say the least, I really only have two friends on the entire server, the rest I consider associates, acquaintances, and/or co-workers, no real emotional attachment at all.
                        If the game focused more on smaller groups, I wouldn't be demanded to fit a social structure and I could play with the two Good friends I have and not a dozen or so people whom I could really care less about or those who I like to speak with, but are already wrapped in a group.

                        While I'm not over-joyed with 100% solo content, it does sound like it could be enjoyable and should be better than the last year and I half of emotional discontent I've had to endure.
                        Dragging nine other people through COP, most of whom you know really don't like or agree with you on much of anything, is a great drain and makes the experience much less fulfilling.

                          I hope they add more functionality to White Mage. Dont get me wrong, I know White Mage is a purely support class, but if Black Mages gets a melee weapon, a two handed one at that; then why not White Mages. Id figure we would at least get a two handed sword good for soloing. I even made up the specs (more or less) Its a two handed sword Lv50 Whm Pld [ MP +15 MND +5 INT +5] Req. Must have Spirit Gloves equiped. Spirit Gloves: Lv 50 Whm Pld [ MP -2/sec INT +25 MND +25] Req. Must have Spirit Sword equpied. Basicly the gloves chanels the players power to the sword which can do a good amount of damage. SE talked about weapon specific skills, i think this would be a good chance to demostrate its possibilies.

                          The weapon it self, being so powerful, must have that MP -2/sec req, also each weapon skill it has will require some MP, how much i havent figured yet. Plain in simple, its very useful when soloing and can be used in ballista for that lone whm who is being chased by a rabid member of the opposing force. Of course this weapon would have little to no use in an exp party (like that will stop some people). Each weapon skill will be based of either a light or dark element (the gloves themselves will have an mana orb on each one, one being light or dark).

                          I guess it sounds kinda of silly since in order to implement, you need to animate each ws and add those animations for each race. None the less, it would still be cool to finally have a decent soloing weapon without haveing to use up some of my inventory with stat armor just to go out soloing whether it be for a quest or farming. You can probally add SMN and BLM to the available jobs~

                            But Hexastrike is a much more powerful ws than most blms are gonna get. even though blms have scythe, their skill in it is E. It's mostly used for farming x_x I don't think WHMs are necessarily hurting in the melee weapon department. They can equip Hammer type weapons which are stronger than most clubs.
