You want to enact "Independance Day" I see. However if something global like that then I would think the severe Hurricans, Tsunami, or Earthquakes would be enough. Doesn't seem to be still though

it doesnt seem like it does it? when the tsunami hit, you have radio stations in ny making parody songs about it, like it was funny in some sort of way. you have people dying in floods in india or genocide in africa but, no one really cares. just as long as it's not 'us' its ok. then you have something like katrina happen, and those same people having fun with other peoples tragedies arent laughing anymore.

im with omniblast, alien invasion so it just shuts everyone up and forces all of us to get along ;p

I designed a prison outfit for whoever is doing the DDoS attacks. May they be sent to whichever prison has the biggest, burliest, harriest, and most well hung 500 pound butches at a prison where no one can hear you scream.

Even an alien invasion wouldn't make us all get along. There would probably be cooperation to get rid of them but after that it would be back to greed as normal. "Oh look our country has a lot of ----- which this other country needs. Let them hang for a while until they are willing to do anything to get some. Then we'll have them right where we want them!!" Crap like that would be the total norm.
