FFXI OST while playing FFXI

Anyone have the OST and listen to it instead of the in-game music? Might seem a little odd, but it's nice to hear the Windurst theme while in San d'Oria. ^.^

After playing FFXI for two years you won't think it's fun to hear the Windurst theme anywhere.

Honestly, I have the volume turned off almost completely when I play. The battle music gets on my nerves in all places except in Promythia areas. The music there RAWKs for battles.

The Chocobo music is tolerable, and the music in Ru'Lude Gardens isn't bad, but out side of that a lot of the music just annoys me, so I don't even bother playing with the volume on. I just turn on some music, or do with out.

I haven't played long atall and I can't stand the music. I usually have the gaming music turned down and some 50 Cent or G-Unit pumping instead, it goes suprisingly well with the game actually.

I imported, beta tested, and I play the NA release. I have been playing longer than two years and I love the music.

Of course I got to hear it at a Dear Friends concert, so that probably renewed my love for it.

And no I have no relation.

I don't think I could stand doing that. :/
Some of the music I just can't tolerate any more, like the San d'Orian music, and Jeuno.
I do still like Selbina, Ru'Lude Gardens, Zi'tah and a few others.
But I usually listen to other music that's on my PC.

I imported, beta tested, and I play the NA release. I have been playing longer than two years and I love the music.

Of course I got to hear it at a Dear Friends concert, so that probably renewed my love for it.

And no I have no relation.

Well, I Beta tested too, and started playing when the NA version was released again. I got sick of the music a few months into the game.

I've only played the game about 3 weeks or so, so its not too bad for me, I like it actually, but I wish they had a system like eq2 where you could have a custom music folder to overwrite the different zone miusic, that way you can customize you tunes, I'd rather have some orchestrated FF music or Yuki Kujuira/see saw
music going on in some zones. other than that I love the game so far, the sub class system rocks! battle could be a little more immersive but you can't have it all.

Hehe, the battles you'll fight later in the game will be far more immersive than what you're going up against now. If depth is what you're looking for, this game has plenty to offer. Sadly, however, the most enjoyable things are solely available to much higher level characters. ; ;

I fell in love with the music long ago. Sound is something that can easily trigger memories and once I listened to the Ronfaure theme a while back a ton of memories came flooding into my head. It's fun but sad at the same time.

I can believe that, it looks like fun at the higher levels, I'd just love to grind some xp but people look at you subclass level as well I noticed, I had a pt member ask me why is your thf only level 6? and I had to admit I was a noob, but I'm a 20 mnk so all I really have to do is hit stuff so no complaints so far lol, and I do that well.
I like taking the time to enjoy all aspects of the game though, from crafting to gaining fame to rank, the graphics may not be like eq2 but the gameplay is awsome and I've met some really nice people. this gam ewas supposed to hole me over till Vanguard came out but who knows, I may just stick with it. the biggest complaint is getting a group in qufirn ialand on my server, but people are lfp all the time and people have to realize if a whole balanced pt is lfp, why no start your own?

I love how the themes are similar to previous ff games, with a new twist.. but I've only been playing five weeks.. I still think the chocobo music should go longer..^^

Anybody else have "all" the Soundtracks?
I have the FFXI, ROZ, and COP soundtracks.. but i listen to them in my car..(I have a tight system in my car)
But then people start lookin at me funny (Young black man listening to classical music?!) So I pop back in Three 6 Mafia or whatever i have close and turn it up to offend like i should have been doing >_>;

How dare you!
Yeah, my chief complaint is the choco music only lasting through one or two zones. The upbeat music makes me smile. Theres a few spots I kinda like the music in, but I usually only have the volume turned up just loud enough to here a few auditory cues. Wish I could figure out how to play ffxi with the windower and play itunes on my pc over the ingame music, w/o having to listen to the ingame stuff when I dont want to. If anyone has any ideas that would be great (w/o actually altering the coding to change what music plays ingame).
