Hi all, I just had a pretty specific question on this.
My question is: is it possible to install the expansion AFTER you've already installed the stand-alone FFXI?
The CD doesn't have its own installation - just the continuation of the other 3 CD's and cab files, etc. right?
I'm having this problem because my CD's, for whatever reason, decided to start disallowingthe setup wizard to read them. After I'm told to insert the second disc, it won't recognize it's even there.
For WHATEVER reason, all programs that access CD's (including freakin explorer), show the data and everything. So I ripped all 5 discs to iso's and mounted them. Not the most time effecient thing, but it worked, finally.
I'm on XP Home, if that matters.
Thanks for any input. I'd really like to have access to the one expansion I have
