Malfunction of network equipment.

yeah its called electronic devicesare not 100% perfect.....I work with server stuff and PC and laptop equopment parts and all that crud all the time, this could have happened at any time or to anyone. Servers are harder to maintain than many may think.......

With weaker servers not just the login crashes. Sometimes the main world could get overloaded and crash. Atleast the people who were already on could play and it was only the login servers that had problems.

Funny, I was upset that I couldn't play yesterday because I had a lot of homework to do. As it turns out I wouldn't have been able to play anyway. I guess things just have a way of working out sometimes.

I couldnt play last night anyways.... A massive storm hit my town last night... when I woke up... well... lets just say, "Shock and Awe". Here is a picture of just 1 of the trees on my street. There are atleast a dozen others like this.

Back on topic....POL is up, can download update for POL and login (took a little while to actually log in, though). FFXI is still scheduled to be down for another 3 hours. I was gonna try out Tetra Master (what's $1, eh?) just for grins, but it is under maintenance, too. Guess I'm keeping that $1 for now. =P

But yeah, not being able to play FFXI for the next few hours should help me get my homework done, at least.

you can get the updates now(PoL and FFXI), that way when there maintenance is over you can get right in XD.

I had no problem getting into the update. Seems to be going slow, but that's ok because we have another hour before servers are up anyway.
