How Much Traffic Is There?

I'm having big problems trying to log into FFXl right now for some reason.

Does anyone know if there is a lot of traffic from any recent updates at all?
I also tried getting in yesterady evening too, but the game kept disconnecting me, and at one point I got that red circle thing above my character's head ingame. (not sure exactly what this means, but I know that it has something to do with noting you if there is a bad conncetion somewhere and that you are about to get disconnected from the game)

Another sign of being disconnceted was that my character was glued to the spot, and couldn't move at all. Does anyone else ever gets this with their game?

This is the second time in 2 evenings I have tried to get into the game now, and completely failed!
So either I have a bad conncetion at my end, or it's the amount of traffic from recent updates.
Anyone have any ideas?

I've noted FFXI can have problems in a shared network, too. I regularly play at an internet cafe-style place...and a lot of people playing Counterstrike = frequent timeouts.

It doesn't seem to like sharing.

Lol. This reminds me of the time when some sort of "node" thing went down from America to Asia. Everyone outside of Japan couldn't play. All the importers had no idea what was going on...some even thought we had been banned 'cause we imported. lol

I've been trying for at least 3-4 days to get into this gerat game, and STILL I cannot get in!
This is starting to get REALLY annoying now! GRRRRRR!!

Is it possible to get a world pass, and if so, if I had one, then would I have to be on my current server to able to change worlds, or can this be done somehow through PoL without actually being in the game itself?

Yeah... I get POL-0006 Errors all the damn time, and /sea and AH hardly ever work... it really blows

snowball be weary of others. do not give out username or passwords to anyone ever. i was just dropped from midgardsormr server. alot of d/c's and other problems, just hang in there and keep trying.

You never have to give somebody your account information just to give them a worldpass... And considering this person's last topic, I wouldn't trust them all that much either. >_>a
