Error -1603 When Installing

Im trying to reinstall FFXI/POL with the new dvd, but im getting an error -1603 saying that polhook is missing or something. I did a search on my comp for "playonline" and brought up empty system folders and stuff. Could this mean that some files are still on the computer that I need to delete? And if so how do I delete them?

yup looks like it.

Did you uninstall ffxi from "remove programs" control panel?

But yea clean it.

1334 also happens in steam when things aren't completely uninstalled. Has to do with a firmware conflict of many dvd/cd drives.

it is deleted off of control panel>add/remove programs,so there's nothing to delete in the add/remove program part

i deleted all of the playonline, ffxi files i could find with the system search, but its still not working
