I've never been there before (lucky me i guess) But a stupid thought slapped me in the back of the head today...

Are all your abilities um. eh... Disabled while in there? I was thinking... if your a BLM or /BLM you could mess with the GM by warping out... of course if it were possible when FFXI was first released they probably fixed it now. Of Course.. that'd piss the GM off even more

Yes, they are. You get "You can't cast that ablility/spell" message, like the one you get when you just finish casting a spell. You can however trade and invite GMs to your party. I used to have a SS with a GM in my party while in jail, but I lost my harddrive within the same week.

I wonder if it was possible when they first started up the servers.. happened once, and were like aw darn..

it's probably the same as when youre in the mog house, cant use items or abilities, try crafting tho lol

the gm would prolly be like, "omfg this guy is like, not even paying attention O_o"

lol if you havent seen it, go to www.killingifrit.com/forums and check thier video section out for a thread titled "GM Jail" or something along those lines. Some guy gets jailed and Im not sure but somewhere between the things said to the GM and his screenshots of him malesting the GM, I think I shat myself >.>

I went to jail once for Grief tactics i asked the GM wat it was and he just ignoredme and removed me form server he said was a 1 day ban and it ended up 3 days

Once ur in jail and removed from server uc ant even sign into POL until ur suspension is liftedso turn off ur comp waste of time cause it aint gonna fix nuthin

edit:

i was banned for 72 hrs once(this was like a year ago, thats why i edit lol), and when i came back my main char was still in jail. i sat there for like 5 mins and no one came to talk to me so i logged to my mule. eventually a GM talked to me and made me go back to my main char so he could move me back into game.

the thing is, GM cannot punish you until they have explained what you have done wrong. if you log off or fake d/c you will not be punished till you log back on, but you will remain in jail until they place you back in game.
