I'm looking for information on how weather affects mob aggro (not enmity) and scent tracking. Can anyone help me?

Re: Looking for information on weather...
As far as I know the only place that weather affects aggro is in Ru'Ann Gardens. Sky... If its light weather, then all the groundskeepers aggro. But other than that, I don't know anything about it.

Re: Looking for information on weather...
Have to agree with Rones here, never had that happen to me before. I know that during light weather if your walking through the gauntlet, the Groundkeepers in the walls will aggro more easily. I've stepped out of the "lines" on other days and didn't get aggro but on lights day, BAM smacked to hell and back very quickly.Originally posted by FebaBut I mean I do not mind a good looking man so long as I do not have to view his penis.Originally posted by TaskmageGod I hate my periods. When its raining and a mob tracks by scent they are supposed to lose you when you get out of sight range.

Re: Looking for information on weather...
Just a guess but if weather effects tracting wouldnt the dense snow shorten sight range of mobs? Ill test it out once I get my FFXI PC back.75 Mnk Sam | 70 Drk | 40 Blm | 37 Nin Rng Thf War

Re: Looking for information on weather...
Think they mean that
No weather, i.e clear weather the mobs have a larger detection range with sight just like the Night vision monsters also have a larger detection range at night. Normal vision monsters are always the same according to that guide I think but maybe its time we just all did some research on this and posted our results and maybe come up with something usefull? Could be a bit annoying though as detection will probably result in death.75 Mnk Sam | 70 Drk | 40 Blm | 37 Nin Rng Thf War

Re: Looking for information on weather...
Dunno about detection but mobs like cactuars run slower in Sandstorms.
