When I first saw the screenies I thought my heart was going to stop. I saw the Joyeuse hit the deck was like **GASP**!!

Then I went and read the messed up thread. Not sure who deserved to be smacked in the head with a brick mall more. The poster, the various LS', or the people who sacked his account.

Did anyone actually READ the post? He was pissed because he wanted to convert those items to RM.. i see a lot of inconsistency on this and other boards.. are you guys for or against RMT?? I think the sympathy stems from the months of effort represented in these items.. but this guy just quit the game, gave away his POL details(!!!) and a couple months later, quote "The same day I found all my shit gone was the day I was going to log in to auction off all my items in hopes to sell the gil for RL money." Where does the sympathy extend? So it was done in vengance, some petty highschool thing.. If you give away your POL details, you give away the right to whinge months down the track...

So.. I dunno.. whoever chucked his items is an ass, but no more than he was..

Those sensationalist screenshots seem to draw a lot of 'OMG he threw away THAT!'.. I agree these items represent months of game time, but they were thrown away with his account. Who relinquishes control of a character, and then expects to be treated with respect when they want their character back? If you cared, you wouldn't give your charachter away so easily. I don't see how he trusted the linkshell after his past experiences of being thrown out of linkshells, joining a faction the next day etc..

whew that was a long post!! I have beeen playing for 2 weeks and logged six days ingame, and am an instant addict. I have been reading this and other boards for a month or so. So just ignore this, because I am obvoiulsy just a n00b and don't know what I'm talking about...

The guy was about to sell all his gear on AH and RTM the gil. Seriously, I was happy to hear his "friends" ripped him off before he could RTM all his stuff and quit.

Hell, Id steal from someone if I knew they were about to RTM. I mean really, we are only hearing this story from his side. For all we know the real story here is that his friends found out he was going to RTM and ganked his stuff before he could.

Personally I think this guy who did this was nothing more than a little turd who like to use racial terms to sound tough.

Yes the "OMG YOU PWN!!1!!" crap was so ignorant. Here is a guy posting about how someone shouldn't whine because he dropped all his stuff. He says that your stupid if you give out your account info. Yet its the very same thing that happened to him and he has a huge post whining about it. Top it off we should feel sorry for someone that is immature enough to liberally use the "n" word and wants to sell his stuff for $$. At least the person that had his stuff dropped had the maturity to admit that he probably deserved it for being greedy. Him I respect, the OP I definately do NOT!

Wow, even getting a huge reaction here. Well, being from Garuda, I have seen all of those guys. Bamma had all the gears a few can only imagine before. Being part of the strongest LS in our server made him to be that way. Thing is, I've said this in my LS's board and I will say it again. Regardless on how "friendly" that online person you meet. Regardless, it still doesn't make it right for you to give them your account info. Unless you wanna take that gamble, it shouldn't even happen. Only people that knows my info are my best friends in RL. That's it. If need be, they'll be the only ones to log me in if I need to get logged in. Other than that, no one else has access to my account.

Best way to avoid such things is through that. Even if your online friend didn't, and for some reason you got hacked, there's still gonna be animosity between two parties. Both parties will get hurt in the process and will lead to this type of nonesense. I've known my friends for 8 years now. If something ever does happen, I can at least give them the benefit of a doubt.

Yea, no room for him to say it, but what can you do. We can just say "spur" of the moment cause he's hella ticked off. IF any of you had that happened, I'm betting in the spur of the moment, you too will start throwing words out of nowhere. But you take that gamble, something like this happens, you go overboard and shit happens. Though I am not surprised he wants to sell his gear for money, i guess cause he wants the $13.99 + how many mules he has back.

God forbid someone who is no longer able to play, would be able to make some decent cash out of there time wasted on a game. For all you know something terrible may have happened to a relative of theirs (or even themselves) and they need the extra cash to get by and you would steal from them because you don't want to waste 30m of your time going to Yhoator to find out your DRK is a newb who just bought his account?

Oh and about the racial slurs, it seems everyone on that server forum likes to overuse that word, and they shrug it off as "slang" when someone gets offended.

If you start generalizing, then it's gets into a huge mess. I'm not gonna cover for them fools who likes to act thugish. To me that's bullshit. Even if you are a thug in real life, I don't give a rats ass. Yea, using racial slurs don't give you shit just cause you hear it from someone. But wasn't there a thread about some JPN's people getting pissed cause people say "JAP" and then saying someone to "get over it"? Dude, if we're gonna get into the sense of "getting over it", people then gotta start thinking of ALL of the slurs that was created to every particular race.

P.S. And no, I don't like people saying those slurs, even I don't. Yea, to me it's nothing if someone calls me Flip (who cares), but you will never go see me walking around saying "nigga" or "hick" or "Jap" and tell them to get over it.
