School comes first. There will always be great MMO's to play but you don't get to "do over" bad grades. Real life > online life

More or less, but not entirely true. I got to retake calculus 3 times. Apparently its beneficial to actually attend class. Who knew? Thought the first two grades will still appear on a transcript and it does look better to only have the one good grade rather than two bad ones followed by a good one.
TGM is right. School should be the priority. Atleast in HS. In college I think the social and "life on your own" experiences are nearly if not equal to the education. I grew as a person far more in college than I did in high school. But, no MMORPG should ever be more important than either.

Christ, i hardly have enough time for wasting time what with Hanging Out and doing my work and hanging out and working and sleeping. I, quite unfortunately, only have a cumulative of like 2 hours. Which is quite ok because I realize that I have to sacrifice some things. So losing FFXI isnt the end of the world.

I couldn't manage during my Junior school in HS, so I decided to quit. Definetly coming back when all my works are done.

I know here it shows in your transcript if you have failed and need to take the class over. Your right it doesn't look to good to future employers to see failing grades even if you did eventually pass. I hired someone that had no "marks" on their transcript over others that did.

I know if you retake a class before graduating, and you get a higher grade the 2nd time around it will only show the most recent grade, but it will note that it was taken twice. Unfortunately, I'm lazy and retarded and got a D twice since I chose not to go to class after the first day. Had to retake after I graduated, so now the new good grade shows, but it doesnt change my GPA or make the D disappear.

Sat 11AM-1PM Comp Grap., Mon 11AM-1PM Comp. Tech. and 2 online classes. And work only weekdays.. 3PM-6PM

Heh, back when I played games hardcore I got into the really bad habit of playing a MMO on my desktop, while doing homework on my laptop. I've spent the past 3 years recovering from the C's and Low B's I got my freshman year of college.

Just don't spend all your time in a game. Partition your time blocks. Such that, say you play from Xtime to Ytime, and limit yourself to that. If you have free time where you have no work, then play during that time if you wish. Don't neglect social activity.

For example my semester this year.

I partitoned it into my head like this.

Monday -> 10am -> 5pm Class/Homework (I only have 2 classes in this time period), 5pm - 3am, Free time UNLESS I have to finish a project etc.
Tuesday -> 11am -> 9pm, Class/Homework, 9pm -> 1am Social Activity (Club Meeting).
....
Friday -> 10am -> 3pm Class/Homework, 3pm -> ??? PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday - ???->??? PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, just don't pickup a drinking habit like I have. Its gotten bad, fast and im trying to slow down. 6+shots of Vodka a night can't be good for me.

Just finish all of your homework first. Think of FFXI as a reward of finishing your work ^_^ That's what I did when I was in High School.
