delay time?

I know the higher the delay the longer you have to wait in between hits...but how many seconds exactly.
Just an example a Butterfly Axe has a delay of 504. What I would like to know is how many seconds is that in RL?
Also if I miss with a weapon with a high delay can I switch to a different weapon to make up for lost time?

For melee weapons 60 delay = 1 real life second. For ranged weapons, 100 delay = 1 real life second. So 504 delay ax is an attack every 8.4 seconds.

For your second question, no it will still wait until your previous delay is up.
