I was hoping to get some information on the buddy system in the new collector edition pack. I left Vana'diel about 10 months ago and really want to come back. However, my registration codes are now out of date. Can some kind soul help me with this?

The Vana'diel Buddy Pass comes with three things:

1) A download code to allow you to download POL viewer and FFXI from playonline.com
2) A POL viewer registration code
3) A FFXI registration code

This means it specifically lacks the following:
1) A Tetra Master registration code
2) A Rise of the Zilart expansion registration code
3) A Chains of Promathia expansion registration code

Hence, if you get a buddy pass for the sake of being able to start a new account, you won't have access to the expansions, or the Tetra Master game.

I've already given my codes to a friend, but if you really want it I suspect there're probably some people around who have no use for their buddy passes...

Sounds like it would be much more sensible to just go out and buy the three as a set.

if you already had it before try to get your old POL user ID and password. try logging in, see if that works. Though 29.99 is a REALLY good price for both expension + game and extras.
