    1) Is it possible for taru taru to become good at other jobs or should they just be casters ?
A: Things may be a bit rough for you in the early levels, but as you level up you have access to many equipment to help balance out what your race lacks in whatever job you are pursuing. The best Paladins I have played with have always been taru. Never feel discouraged by your race.

    2) The trade skill thingS such as woodwork, fishing and cooking etc how many of these can you pick to do ?
    A. As many as you want, but you can only max out the skill in 2 of these fields, maybe three, someone will correct me if I'm wrong. The ones not maxed will be capped @ level 60 I believe.

    3) Whats the max lvl you can get your charactor to ?
    A. Each job can be levelled up to 75 currently.

    4) How many charactors can you make on one account ?
    A. I think the limit is 24 character slots? (Someone will correct me) The first character slot you use is included in the 13$ monthly fee, any other character slots you wish to purchase will cost an extra 1$ a month. Most people make 1-3 extra characters (mules) just for holding items as your initial item storing capacity is limited. Remember if you share your account with someone (siblings or whatever) they can create another character on your account but they cannot be logged in as the same time as you. They would have to buy a new copy of FFXI (for unique registration keys)

    5) and last does anyone know how much it costs per month in british sterling £. I didnt look as that game look too cool i just wanted it :D
    A. No clue, look up a currency converter somewhere lol.

You can level as many trade skills as you want to 60, but you only get 40 skill points to spend above that level. So you can get one skill to 100, two skills to 80, four skills to 70 or whatever combination you wish. Once you hit that cap, leveling up one skill will level down another. For example, if you have two level 80 skills and level one up to 81, the other one will level down to 79. Points in fishing don't count toward that limit, though, so you can max fishing without fear of affecting your other skills.

For something of a visual to what Taskmage said:

Max without spending the 40 bonus points:
          Cooking 60
          Cloth 60
          Woodworking 60
          Smithing 60
          Goldsmithing 60
          Bonecraft 60
          Alchemy 60
          Fishing 100

100 is the max a skill goes (without the guild gear to push it up more), you now have 40 points from the points listed above to use as you like.

TaruTaru excel at magic jobs due to their high base MP and INT. They also have high CHR to help with jobs like BST and BRD. But saying that there's nothing to stop you from playing any other jobs. Play what you enjoy.

You can take all crafts to 60 and then gain another 40 levels over all skills. The exception is fishing which can be taken to 100 without spending extra levels.

For me with 2 characters and a tetra master account its usually between £8-9 a month. Slightly less than WoW costs.
