There are pre-paid credit cards you can get (or you dad). I think they cost 5 dollars to put money on and function as any other mastercard or visa.

^il try and look but im not sure if theres one in canada.

EDIT: visa has "gift cards" that are basicly prepaid creditcards with a desiving name, i got to look into it a little more but so it looks good .

EDIT#2: DAMN IT! Its only avalible in the west edminton mall and thats in alberta and i live in ontario. Its like they want to frustrate me on perpose.

I personally think it was a dumb idea to have a Credit card only pay way.. (Pay way would be the way you have to pay). Not everyone has CC's so it's kinda hard for people who want to play to play.. And before I go on any furth I should read what other people say, lol.

I have to convince my dad into letting me use his CC again.. He didn't like that last time I played.. But worse come to worse, I have tro MMORPG buddies who have CC's so i'll ask them if I can give them 13 a month..

^yes i know, if they just had pre paid game cards my life would be soo much easyer, it was probably one of the worst desisions SE made from my point of view, cause kids like me would have a extreamly hard time geting a card to use to pay for this, and its alot worst in canada cause they dont have visa or mastercard prepaid/debit cards so pepole under 18 without parents that would let there kids use there credit card are screwed. Grrr...

Aye I had the same problem last year when i firsat got the game... Just starting again tomorrow to avoid august fees >.<

I had to beg my dad for a week or so before he let me pay for WoW, but this is cheaper, even with two chars and a tM account ^^

You must the one were I got this odd sense of dejavu from I could of sworn TheGrandMom provided that same info in almost word for word as she did here. I was starting to freak out that I somehow saw this thread months ago but it says it was started a few days ago.

Well, all I could find is that the mall in Edmonton has them and you can buy them there BUT it does list a phone number and email address. Maybe you could call or email them and ask if you could purchase one over the phone? Would dad do that? Here is the info:

Yes i should probably check that out further, looks like the best posibility for getting it for now, thanks for the info

EDIT: For the first phone number you need a card to use and i cant call the second one cause its long distance so i have to wait till i get a responce from the email.

Just got this email from visa, It would of been helpful 4 months in the future...

"Thank you for your e-mail. At this the West Edmonton Mall Prepaid Gift Card is the only Visa Gift Card Available at this time. However, towards the end of this year we are launching different gift cards available for purchase nation wide."

The credit card company and bank tracked it back to 2 websites that were not as reliable and well known as the more popular sites. I do have to say that I have been buying items, doing banking, and paying bills online for several years. With more well known sites, I have never had any issues. It is always when I go off the beaten path that I run into trouble.

I have been playing FFXI for over 2 years now and I've never had a single issue with payment. My husband and son (who is 22) also play and none of us have had any problems. I can honestly say that I feel SquareEnix's security on this matter is excellent.

just tell him odds are theres a better chance of someone stealing his Credit card numbers when he orders a pizza and pays with his Card then there is on here

and let me tell u i work for a pizza place so i know how eazy it would be to steal card numbers i could get 10 a night if i wanted lol
