I am willing to play FFXI i just wanted to know if the game is downloadable and buyable online.

E.G. i buy a cd key and a download link is given?

Funny you should ask. There was just a post added that said that S-E was going to set up a downloadable demo. But it's not out yet. You can still buy it online at just about every online game vendor sells it. Just check 'em out.

You can order it online and have it shipped to you, but I don't believe there is a downloadable version (legally) anywhere, nor does Square-Enix sell CD-keys online as far as I know. Also, be extremely wary of used copies of FFXI, as there are a number of users who have done unscrupulous things with their accounts and thus have had their CD keys banned, which makes their keys useless.

yeah i wasnt planning on buying the cd key from ebay or any other online auction.

good to hear theres a trial period coming out though

Icemage, just a curious question . . . are you from Louisiana or in any state that has Civil Law instead of Common Law?

Off topic: No, why do you ask? My home state of Florida uses Common Law as its basis.

Because of "Caveat emptor", just striked me as I just finished a real estate course and learned about it. Just a small hope to meet someone from the boards ^^ Oh well, nevermind me then ^^
