Thats the thing though, the scan 2 & 3 add ons would have to be job traits, or it would clutter JA, Not saying that scan itself would be a JT.

yeah, but {Invincible}, {Perfect Dodge} are almost the same but not, iirc Invincible works on magic as well as melee

Back on topic... I'd really prefer it if the Blue Mage abilities didn't require TP, because that would be a severe disadvantage. Blue Mages would then HAVE to be a DD, but they couldn't perform skill chains, and unless they had an A+ in a weapon, they could rarely cast magic as well. A blue mage would never get a party if their ability to cast magic was dependent upon how much they hit the monster with a sword.

I do however agree with the idea that blue mage spells could be learned from scrolls dropped by monsters only when a blue mage is in the party. Or perhaps they could only learn blue magics through quests, somewhat like the Warp, Drain, etc quests. Maybe that would only work for the really powerful spells.

Again, a majority of the spells should be nerfed, simply because blue mages are that powerful. That would remove the need to come up with some off-the-wall way for them to cast magic which would otherwise make them a bad fighter and a bad mage.

As for the two-hour ability, I think it should be something along the lines of either temporarily being able to use every ability the monster you are engaged with has, or you gain the spell that you are trying to learn with a 100% probability. This way, even if you have bad luck with drops, you can at least learn a spell every few hours if it's a necessity.

Yeah I think they are only going to release 3 new jobs in the next expansion, and I see Timemage, Bluemage, geomancer as the 3 most likly jobs to be added, and thats only if they stick with the jobs that are left over from FFV, FFT, but there is also the posibility of Sword Mage, Chemist, chocobo knight, and Mimic. of course we have to just wait untill it comes out. :p

yes, they're kinda annoying sometimes, after all, they have to be hit by such-and-such ability. But being able to use them later > Trine, Beta, among others was cool ^.^
