This is true, but is it really that important? I have five other people that can tell me what's going on in any other direction so I'm not too concerned with that. Honestly I like the keyboard layout. I can type on one side, then move on the other, or auto-run and type. When in auto-run I can press the directional buttons without inteferring with the sentence I'm currently typing.

I've never used a controller, but I can say keyboards are easy to use.

I tried playing Guilt Gear XX on a dance pad before. I couldn't even pull off a normal dragon punch motion =(

Final Fantasy isn't that hard, just move with your feet and type with your keyboard =P

          Try a PS2 dvd remote...

I tried that once. I was confused as hell. I had to continously look at the remote before I did absolutely anything.

you use the mouse to pan the camera around while locked onto a target...

I use a PS2 controller on my PC with the buttons mapped out exactly as they are on the PS2 (I played PS2 during beta then moved to PC at launch). Using a controller helps out a ton.

True that you have others to relay the info to you, but there is still a delay there. Depending on playstyle and abilities, some of it works better and is easier on the controller vs. keyboard. Which is why I suggest the practiced use of both, especially with movement or manuvering to avoid like say aggro and such the control comes in handy to do this.
