Coming back

Do you guys think it is wise to come back to the game this late? I would expect for most people to have completed genkais, lower missions, and those sorts already so would it be complicating to do those type of stuff if I come back as a level 1.

In all honesty, coming back now isn't really near anything that can be considered "late".

And if you're going to comeback , come back now before November. Because FFXI will be released on the XBOX360, meaning more n00bz. And there is a bunch of people at lower levels. Most are new characters ( from people with higher toons ) and ADV jobs.

I bet it will get some. I don't think as much as the ps2 did. But then again, you won't have to have the annoying HDD and network adapter installed so it might bring some old faces back and thensome.

I'll definitely be getting it for Xbox 360... FFXI doesn't like my computer, and I don't feel like shelling out a few grand for a new computer, or a few hundred for a new gfx card. 360 is bound to be cheaper than a good gfx card anyways... Lol :sweat:

Unless... I can rez my PS2. Doubtful. It's quite dead. :tongue:

XBOX 360 at launch will probably cost 300$, possibly more ( but I doubt it). For less than that, you can get something nice in terms of a video card. But you seem fixed on getting a 360, so that will be that.

Yeah I was having the same thoughts myself, is it worth coming back. I left long time ago for losing my character for no reason and spending a long time to get it back and then did not feel like playing after that since they changed my name so that others wouldn't ask for it, I of course can say that now there is a character restore policy.

I also know that when we NA people came the game was already established with JAP people so I think it would be the same, except now I can ask questions about stuff to people in english.

Should I just wait and pickup the set on 8/16?

The set? The gold edition release? Go for it. I'd rather buy that rather than make two seperate purchases and installs.

Picked it up today, had a coupon for 5 dollars off any game at Circuit City, I have more free time before 8/16. Hopefully I won't feel like im "late"

You wont. There will always be people doing things, and if there aren't you can always find people to help. I ask for help every now and then, and usually people are kind enough to respond.
