My NPC hit Lv50 last night. I think I will call it 2-4 more times so that I can fully cap Lv50, but after that I am not really sure what the benefit of more calls would be except maybe to raise my total call count. It's too bad since I was trying to think what the next best area to exp in would be since exp would slow down in altepa at Lv50. Unless there is something we are missing, which I doubt, I think we have to wait for SE for the time being.
Sounds like they are just changing server equipment (probably whatever has been causing the log in / log out failures) so I doubt there will be any NPC updates...
"From Alla?" There's your problem. There is so much misinformation on that site it is sick. Somepage, MysteryTour, and Vana'diel Monsters all have the level range as 48-52 for all Demons in Xarcabard. Alla, as it is on many occasions, wrong.

i'll repeat once more. This info is on the first post of this thread in detail.
They're basically beta testing NPCs. I think they said so in an article somewhere that they weren't finished and were testing the server's stability while people had them out.
I haven't heard of SE actually saying this anywhere, but I do know that I and several others here (and on other forums) have theorized this as a likely explanation for the various limitations placed on the NPCs.
[Update Details]
- An issue wherein players were unable to obtain the "100 day after creation" special items (Kgd. Stable Collar, Rep. Stable Medal and Fed. Stable Scarf) for the Vana'diel Adventurer Recruitment Program has been addressed. These items enable teleportation to the Chocobo stables.
Looks like that's all they changed... ;; I'll check and let you know later for sure.
Community: How do the experience points for your Fellowship NPC work? Why not allow the NPCs health to be displayed under yours? And finally why not make it possible to call your NPC more than once every 20 hours?
Matt Hilton: The first part we'll have to keep under wraps. The reason you don't see the fellowship NPC's health/mp under yours is because they're not actually in a party with you and you don't see it above your chat log because that spot is reserved for your avatar or Wyvern HP. As for the cool down of 20 hours on the signal pearl, that's another issue we've heard a lot of feedback on, so maybe it can be changed in the future.
Community (follow up): It's possible to click on your NPC accidentally to dismiss them and miss their text due to chat log spam, is there any changes coming up to fix this issue?
Matt Hilton: That's exactly why we're asking for feedback and suggestions sent from the website or Viewer. If you find issues that you feel need to be addressed, please don't hesitate to bring them up.
Found this at the FFXI site.
Yay, Ty for this Eohmer~
Silentsteel - Taru of Awesomeness on Valefor
80 Whm, 86 Drg, 40 Sam, 37 Blm, 31 Smn, & lower as it goes down... I have way too much play time for no levels, lol.
I started this quest today. I did the first two parts. I had to do the fight twice. A Lv.75 Taru BRD spawned his right on top of mine. So both his and my NM's AoEs dropped my NPC immediately.
I zoned, healed because with both of those AoEs, I lost a lot of HP. I went back in, built up TP with my THF buddy, and we wiped it out quick. Now I just have to go take on the DRG. Which my THF buddy will get into his Lv.50 DRG. He has Lv.40 gear, and I'm going as my RDM38.
But what I'm wondering, is how skillchains go. I intend to put them in an attacker role, and give her a Great Katana. Will she just fire off her skillchain, or is there a way to tell her to do it? I read 10 pages of this thread, and then saw how many pages there were and just said I'd ask!
I'll most likely use it to farm, but I kill a lot of Easy Prey when I'm farming, so having a skillchain will help me big time. Just wanted to know how this works.
