I'm not certain WS rate has anything to do with it. I was fighting buffalo with two friends and plague was on 80% or so of the time, and had no ill effects once I returned. Then again, I was careful to avoid AOEs and chained with her every time she did get TP (rare as it was.)

I'm not saying it's WS alone, but a combination of each of those. Because not every job can cover all those aspects, so there has to be some exception conditions.

Oh, I also was curious....but has anyone else noticed their NPC to be missing more frequently then they did before? My NPC had a horrible miss fest the last like 2 calls, she actually missed like 8 times in a row once.

I called out Yoli during an EXP party while leveling my Pld, and boy she was great. She was outdamaging the Drk, and was debuffing like a pro. She also healed me with Cure III every once in a while. The penalty was still 30% to EXP, but she didn't adjust at all to match my level. My EXP was Ok, but everybody else loved it.

Yoli and I have plans to marry each other one day!

you guys mentioned NPC casting -na spells, makeing healer a whm of sorts, and debuffing, has anyone seen them use erase?

They use Blindna and Poisona, but that's all I've seen her use. Granted that's all I've needed, but hey I'm sure if she can pull out all the stops with Leg Sweep than she can use Erase on me every once in a while. <_<

Hmm, another idea on their gear choices just hit me. What if the game randoms it against all your jobs levels? Not likely that many people have every job of high level, it's a good chance they may still have around half of them that are still pretty low.

I just thought this because I never seen her wear any gear under lv. 10 and lv. 10 is lowest job I have. Not once has my character worn lv. 1 RSE were I see many others with the same race and all wearing RSE.

I'll probably have to raise my lower jobs up more beyond lv. 10 to see if that pushes the minimum of what she wears up.

hit 41, so far nothing new (after headgear and 2nd weapon upgrade) from rendezvous point or Luto.

i'd be interested in knowing if anyone has theirs much past 41 and if they do, where do they level?

Lvl 42.5 here. Xarcabard for now.

Btw, from the call pattern (jobs at 3, 1st weapon at 6, 2nd weapon at 12, and headgear at 18), I'm guessing there's gonna be another option or cs from Luto at call 36ish. I'm currently at call 29.

I don't see why not if your npc is in the line of fire. They get damage thru straight-lined, coned, or AoE attacks. They darn well better get healed from coned abilities too.
