The first few times I called her I just played around. I was able to change job with almost no xp.

Yes, Mine I got to change her job after my first call. I only killed what I came accross in Rollanberry Fields, mostly was wasps, crawlers, bats, qudav, and gobbuue.

I called her and the Rendevou Point first time after option wasn't there, zoned, cameback talked to her again and option was there. This was the same for her first Weapon upgrade, and second weapon upgrade. I talked to Luto first nothing, when to Rendevou Point talk to my NPC, went back to Luto and CS started. Same thing on getting the message for the second upgrade.

It seems it's very useful to talk to your NPC at Rendevou Point before and after using them. Doing it at least twice with a zone in-between.

I would say so if you've called them 7 times now and can't even change job option. Have you even got the Cutscene yet to upgrade your weapon?

From what I've read, dropping pearls only affect menu options. NPCs have always upgraded and retrograded their armor randomly even before the last patch. One person lost the headgear option after dropping his pearl post-patch.

Solid money that's what screwing you up.

Dracumancer's guess about relationship points may or may not be accurrate, but it's first hand experience/knowledge of what happens when you drop pearls now.

My NPC got attacked by a linking demon yesterday. It was because a Demon Wizard (blm mob) casted sleep on me at the very beginning of the battle and my npc got hate. So, yeah, this can happen.

Yes, even though the NPC don't show up on your party list they are considered as part of your party. It's kind of funny though that the gobs can hit them with party AoE's but we can not use curaga, barstonra, or any other spells that is suppose to cover the party.

You reset your NPC back to nothing. You have to repeat the quest you did to make the NPC all over again, get to choose another face and race also.

To clarify, if you picked Mithra with Face6 before and you do the second option then you can do a Tarutaru M/F with Face4 or whatever you choose out of the available list.

i see, this is very interesting seeing as how in helping my friends (before i knew how to chose the face) they both got same face as mine but have not trained them as of yet.

                              Double Post Edited:
based off my experiance with early post update NPC raising: 1 call (from beggining to end no deaths, zones clicks etc) = +1, every pearl your NPC gives you may = -2?(-1 for the extra call you made and -1 so there is a penelty as well) tell me what you guys think
