got my NPC to 31 today, i used her as a healer, but she basically kept spamming silence even though we didn't fight anything that cast magic lol

I dont think this was posted yet, was reading Allakhazam forums and it seems that after 12 dates you can upgrade your friend's weapon.

Ok, got to trading some weapons to Luto. Here are the ones I've been able to get her to take.

Katana - Wakizashi
Polearm - Bronze Spear
Axe - Brass Axe
Scythe - Brass Zaghnal
Great Axe - Greataxe
Great Sword - Two-Handed Sword
H2H - Brass Knuckles

I haven't figure out the following:
Great Katana - Tried Nodachi, Kanesada, and Okanehira
Sword - Tried Brass Xiphos, and Spatha
Staff - Tried Holly Staff
Club - Tried Bronze Rod, and Brass Rod
Dagger - Tried Brass Dagger

That's all for now, I'm sure someone will come up with the ones i'm missing soon^^"

Checked, i guess you didnt read my post completely
after 12 summons you can upgrade to a new weapon for each class

Use conviental wisdom, and most of all, just do what you like...it'll be a long time before you actually need you npc to be at it's best..

Greataxe has sturmwind @.@ Good for people that want the most damage out of NPCs

Great katana has SC-ism... makes it easy. Great for lvl 75melees plvling that open up a 400+ SC closer. My npc likes to use either enpi or goten, which always allows me to close a 400 distortion

Polearm has double thrust, but not sure npc will want to use it.. it likes to use the most powerful WS it has.

If anyone else has other common used NPC weapon WSs, would be good to compile.

For tankers I guess axe would be good. Best 1h weapon in terms of stats.

No clue for healer types..

I gave mine a Polearm, mostly because i also level DRG so i know a lot of skillchains we can do... since she doesnt tell me which skill she'll be using >.>

Was doing Double/Raiden thrust - Viper bite for Distortion and a 500+ Water III MB with her :x

Well until My NPC and I start killing lvl 60 mobs, I'm content with doing 300-500 damage Detonation SCs with Sidewinder ending.

Ok... listen up guys. Here is a new theory i have and I do have probable cause behind this.

When I first took my NPC out on his first run. . . it was killing demons outside of Shadowlord's Castle. He lasted for 30 minutes before he said he was exhausted and left. I took him there again and he lasted for 30 minutes again. On the 3rd time, I took him to Eastern Altepa and killed beetles, dhalmels, and anticans. He lasted for 57 minutes. Now I have been clocking his duration time because I wanted to test the whole "higher the lvl, the longer they stay" theory. My stopwatch does not lie. . . it read 57 minutes and some seconds.

My theory is . . . if you take your NPC and kill monsters that are his/her level, they will last longer. Please test this out. My friend tried it and he said he clocked his NPC lasting 50 minutes. AGAIN, this is a theory - please do not hold this to be true until more people can confirm it.

When a shield type can hit 80% on something 12 levels over...I want to have what she ate for lunch.

Uhh... It's 15 kills. Trust me. I've done this every day twice a day since Friday, the 22nd. I use /echo to keep track of each kill (8 sessions [more actually]). If there is a time limit on how long you can keep your NPC out while killing stuff, it seems limited on how fast you can kill 15 mobs. But, I admit, 57 minutes is the longest I've heard.

If you just have it out doing nothing, then I'd be interested on how long it lasts.

75smn, on about my 6th session or so

every session has been eastern altepa desert, and every session lasted 7 to 10 mins. if it lasted 57 mins for you there, you must not have been killing stuff.
