Same here, leveled shortly (around 5-10 seconds) after killing a mob. It seems they don't calculate exp for level at time of mob death, and instead maybe twice a minute.

It also explains why they don't always leave immediately after a mob dies. There's always a pause. Maybe if we fight a bunch of linking enemies and have /autotarget on, we can get by the 15 mob limit? Not to hard to do if you plan it right.

That sounds very possible for high level black mages. Maybe train 30 or so level 40 mobs and then nuke then all to death with a massive -ga?

drop your pearl once a day, and get a refreshed 20 hours. only once a day tho.

Baically the method to 2x a day is

Use pearl, drop pearl, get new one and use again. WAIT 20hrs. repeat

Because you are only droping once and waiting out the 2hrs after, you get a free extra use.

S-E will probably fix this in some fashion sooner or later, but until then foward cannon fodder! We need to squeeze as much time as possible.

i've been thinking about it.... the luxury of playing from japan.

use your pearl before mid night, like 9-10PM. drop it, get a new one and can NPC again. you should be done before mid night. Mid night, get a new pearl and use it.

and from midnight to 9PM, that's 21 hours. timer's ready.

viola, 3 calls per day. Now compare to *our* time (PDT)
9-10PM JP = 5-6AM PDT
mid night JP = 8AM
so if only we wake up before 5AM every morning...

I have a couple questions. Do I need to keep the signal pearl equipped, or can I equip summon and unequip? Also, has anyone compared how much race factors into the NPC's effectiveness? Is taru better for healer, galka better for attacker, etc?

I believe each NPC is exactly the same in terms of stats.

You can unequip the earring, it's like every other enchanted item.

This will only work once every other day because you can't get two pearls in one day despite the 20 hour limit. To demonstrate what I mean, I made a schedule:

As you can see, you get more xp faster if you go twice a day rather than three times a day every other day. But, if you miss a day due to RL stuff, then going three times on the next day makes up for the lost chance.

But you do have to get up early to go 3 times in one day. ;;

P.S. My npc made lvl 31 and 32 today. ^^

I disagree. I think racial difference play the same role for npcs as pcs. A galka healer will have less mp than a taru healer of the same lvl. A taru attacker will do less damage than a galka attacker of the same lvl.

But, I have no way of confirming.

This may be possible for mages. But, near impossible for a melee type like me unless I try to use Circle Blade on the 15th mob and agro stuff. My npc despawns very quickly after the 15th kill. I dunno how I can keep it around for the extra kills.

Neither do I, I can't exactly monitor Yoli's health while fighting, and I'm not even allowed to see her MP. I've decided to call her Angelina Yoli, because it's such an obvious joke. :|

Update on the gear. Yesterday i was killing overgrown roses and young opos in yuhtunga jungle near Norg. When i started she has the breastplate set's gloves and greaves on. (the set that goes with Jei's NPC's body armor) After i had finsihed and went back to jeuno she had gone back to scale finger gauntlets, but her greaves changed to the lv 50 mithril greaves (black and silverish).

Just got the first equipment change.

The hands piece is some silver piece now, and also she doesn't have any armor on her feet...
