Hiya Jei

So after 3 times calling the NPC you can pick a style type at the Rende Point?
Ones you have picked a style can itbe changed or are you stuck with it?
Also do you need to wait another 3 times to change or is it straight away?

My friend 75smn just got his NPC levelled after killing dhalmels in Bibiki (lvl 37ish) all too weak for him. If he told the truth we definitely can PL our NPC on too weaks.

From reading on Alla, ppl seem to ding their NPC after 3 calls too. So it maybe the NPC levelling up that enables their job choice.

I was wondering, people stating leveling their NPC in various zones and describing various Armor upgrades the NPC aquire, do you think the zone you level a NPC in will effect the NPCs armor?

In it's defence it has in a way but would be nice if it didn't have a limit or they lowerd the 20 hour down to two hours. I like my NPC buddy but it doesn't last long enough.

the time they stay with us may increase if they get higher level but until we can get them close to our level, they are more like a time sinking toy for us than anything. 15 kills/1 hour just not enough. If they stay like 3 hours then that we can get something done soloing.

Well, I just found a happy surprise at the Redezvous Point and my NPC. Like a few others I also got the option to choose a combat style for my Galka, Mugido. He also came to me wearing new armor... I think it's the chocobo riding gear, but I can't tell. I'm not exactly happy with that, but eh does it really matter? It seems he did not level at all though, still level 30.

Anyways, first day I got him we duoed Mandys in Yuhtunga, I played as my 34 RDM and he left after about 40 minutes or so. Second day I took him to Batalia with a friend, I was 63BRD and he was 75 RDM, and we killed a bunch of tigers and things until he left in about 20 minutes. I had a lot of fun though, I saw that he learned Red Lotus Blade, and I was happy to skillchain off that with Earth Crusher.

Anyways, I've seen a lot of people go with "Healer" mode with their NPC, so I decided to try out "Attacker" and the new weaponskill alert option. I'll see how it goes tomorrow. :D

my LS friend said he can't call NPC in GL. Anyone else tried in any other dungeons?

I'm still not sure between healer or attacker. When my npc's still now, healer maybe more helpful. But I'm not exactly needing her help tho : /

update:

They only attack when you engage. If you don't engage they will only run after you not really doing anything

they /heal when you /heal

can't refresh/dispel/erase your NPC. BRD songs still unknown.

If you throw away the Signa pearl.
- First time you can get a new one right away from Rendezvous Point. The time will reset to 0:00
- After second time the NPC will get upset and have to wait after mid night japan time to get a new one.
- The NPC's level remains the same.
- not confirm if you can keep throwing it away indefinitely.
