That's not 100% certain yet. Could be that SE capped our npcs at 1 into lvl 50 for all we know. That quest did something. We just aren't certain what yet.

Would be funny if all it did was to allow you to talk to your npc and see his his hp gauge, but SE announced that was possible automatically.

It was there before I did the quest. And also my NPC was saying she was halfway through the lvl at the beginning of xp session today(after doing quest). At the end she said she was almost lvled forever. Pretty sure shes capped at 1 tnl still ><

Just a quick summary of what I've found out so far.
Seems you have to finish the 4 quests from Luto Mewrilah to raise the cap to 60.

Quick quest summarys

Q1ast Reflection
After talking to Luto, go to Windhurst Waters and talk to Tosuka-Porika.
Collect some foodstuff for him, all but BisonSteak is purchesable from NPC.
Trade in and watch the cutscene.
Return to Jeuno and talk to Luto then to Khomo Daramasteh close to the Khazam airship docks.
Reward: Raises fellowship relations.

Q2:Blighted Gloom
How to check when you have enough relation to do this quest:
Talk about fashon and headgear. If you have a second option for headgear
then you have enough relation to do this quest.
1.Talk to Luto and go Metal huntin in some dungeons.
2. The Metal you're looking from drops off slime in [Korroloka Tunnels], [Ordelle's Caves] or [Ranguemont Pass]
Give the Metal to Leuto and head to [Lake Mechieume] for cutscene.
Reward: Raises fellowship relations.

Q3:Regaining Trust
Talk to Luto and check up on a friend of hers at the hospital.
Return to Luto for a cutscene.
Head to [Qufim Island] and help out your Fellow that's fighting monsters.
Return to Leuto for a cutscene and then to the hospital for a cutscene.
Your Fellow can now level to 60!!!

Q4:Chameleon Capers
Talk to Luto and do some running around [Ru'Lude Gardens]>[Bastok]>[Windhurst]>[Jeuno] searching for an NPC
Later, your Fellow will suggest heading to [Delkfutt's Tower]
After several cutcenes and fights you'll get to choose an item
- Tactics Manual: Fortitude (Rare/NoAuction/NoSale/NoDelivery)
- Tactics Manual: Might (Rare/NoAuction/NoSale/NoDelivery)
- Tactics Manual: Endurance (Rare/NoAuction/NoSale/NoDelivery)

1. Call your fellow at a rendevou point and talk to her
2. Quest starts when she ask you to investigate Promyvon
There is a 45min time limit from when the quest starts!
3. Examine a ??? at first level in one of the Promyvon areas
4. Call your fellow and get your Tactics Pearl
You can try again after the next conquest tally

SQ2icture Perfect
Prequisits: Completed "A Pose by Any Other Name"
Do not have the Signal Pearl equipped
1. Talk to Diederik in Selbina
You have 2 options here:
2a. Talk to Angelica in Windhurst Waters
3a. Mine a Shell from Korroloka Tunnels and give to Angelica
4a. Get a "Milk-white Stone"(?) from Castle Oztroja
(Examine the BrassDoor at the Inner yards second level(I-9?) to start an event,
enter and examine the ??? and fight a BLM NM Yagudo.
Talk to the fellow after the fight and get the stone.
Only one event per person even if you are in a PT, so may have to do it several times)
5a. Give Angelica the stone
6a. Go to Umberto in Bastok Markets(L-10) to finish the quest.
option 2
2b. Talk to Umberto in Bastok Markets(L-10)
3b. Mine a Shell from Korroloka Tunnels and give to Umberto
4b. Get a "Milk-white Stone"(?) from Castle Oztroja
5a. Give Angelica the stone
6a. Go back to Umberto to finish the quest.
Your Fellow can now level to 55!!!

Anyone know what the Trade command on the NPC is for? I tried giving mine food, money, fireworks, etc. but she wouldn't accept any of it. I didn't have any equipment on hand though.

i read this on elemen but i couldn't get the 2nd quest to start at all. Did you manage to get the 2nd quest?

Curious, has anyone else gotten the message regarding a quest in the Emptiness that your NPC invites you to help on? I got that after my third leveling session post genkai...I started at 50, and she's still 50...After the third one, when I used the Rendevouz Point, and selected Talk about quests, she mentioned this quest in the Emptiness...

I tried entering Promyvion - Dem, and Promyvion - Vahzl, but neither triggered any sort of cutscene...Maybe if you summon her there? Btw, this is what she said exactly...

Tsuim: Actually, I've been requested to carry out an investigation of the Emptiness. It appears to be a most complicated phonomenon. If I may, I would like to have your assistance in this matter. I have no strict timetable, so please come along when you are ready.

Summon your NPC in Promyvion.

Use the talk option.

There are Rendezvous points just inside each of the Promyvion entrances. Click on that after hearing that she wants to investigate the emptiness and it will summon her. It gave me 45 minutes to find a ??? on the first floor which was semi-buried in enemies. Once I touched it she said she was done after a couple lines of talking then offered to warp me to the start. She also gained 300 XP (but she is already capped). When you go back to a town and check the Rendezvous point she gives you a Tactics Pearl, which I'm not quite sure what it does yet. It might just give you 4 extra summons of your NPC (4 charges, 10 minute reuse) but I haven't tested it myself; I'd rather wait till it uncaps in case it is 4 extra summons.

No one has gotten 55 yet. The picture which i have shown says that the level limit for my npc has raisen to 55.
