Umm, think you ment Genkai 2. That is intresting if they stop at 50 mine is at 48 so far so I'll be in the same boat soon.

G2 is killing mobs in xarc. npcs can be around for that.

Yeah, ment to correct that I just missread the post thinking you meant to open up to reach lv. 60 which is Genkai 2. Didn't interpret it as you saying when the NPCs at 60 there'd be no way to get them to those 3 zones in 1 call.

Still though with Genkai 2 it's touching those ??? to get the frigicite and those are keyitems so how would that work? Then also Genkai 5 how'd they be able to fight Maat? >.>

I'm assuming SE would be smart enuf to just allow the kills to count. The problem would be killing all 3 before NPCs despawn due to time.

Rones, you coulda just checked the first post. d:

Yeah, guess so mean the NPC will have it a bit easier then us so I guessing having to call them 2 or 3 times to complete it is the difficulty level then for it? Well not exactly a difficulty level but the delay effect for it. As far as not getting a quest or anything yet, if SE has put in a way to get them beyond 50 yet then maybe you just haven't called your NPC enough times to get it yet?

My guess is that if SE makes a way to level your NPCs past Lv50 it's that it will be via a quest given by Luto. Chances are that it will involve more to the mirror storyline and the reward of higher level limit for you NPC will come from either a ??? NM pop or another BCNM. Who knows what SE has planned but I am sure that there will be more to your NPC (and Luto) than just getting them to Lv50 and that is it. I imagine SE will implement something in a future update but will do so slowly (a la CoP missions) so I think we won't see the full potential or vision for NPCs for a while to come yet.

if/when they make it so you can go past 50 (by just regular lvling or quest wise) they should be able to stay out for at Least 2 hours & have about. . . oh 50 kill limit? =P

                  Yay, Ty for this Eohmer~

That would sound nice but I'd guess SE to probably do something like extend to 1hr and 5min. with 25 kills. I'm aware I had posted on some page a while back of a guy in my party getting 25 kills, just turns out it seems that he just called his late or for some reason his didn't get some of the kill counts. He only got 20 like the rest I've partied with.

Also the only effect I've had level do really is change what WSs are available mostly. Outside of that I've seen so far as low as lv. 33 getting the 20 kill limit and lv. 35 getting the headgear, all of that has been dependant on calls. Knowing how SE likes to make some stuff pretty long I'd wonder if maybe after about 40-50 calls if something would happen then maybe again around 100 or so then probably 365 (Using the Adventurer Recruitment Program as a little bit of a guess on this). If that is the case then some people should be getting close then, just slightly after August has finished maybe.

Update for folks. My npc is still lvl 50 after 4 days of full 20 kills. I got the Genkai 1 items. I tried trading them to Luto (both one at a time, two at a time, and all together), but no luck. I talked with Maat, but didn't trade them because Maat didn't mention anything about NPCs. I even wore my Signal Pearl when I clicked Maat to make extra certain I wasn't missing an obvious step. I'm going to try to trade the items to my npc tomorrow. If that doesn't work, then I'm out of ideas. I don't know why SE would cap NPCs at level 50 without any hints of getting them higher or just announcing that NPCs have a level cap of 50.

Latest update. I tried trading the genkai items to Mugido (one at a time, two at a time, and all together) and that too failed. I'm out of ideas now. His gear isn't getting much better either. He's either capped (in which case SE should tell us that the cap at 50) or SE changed the way they get xp is 50. What I mean by that is that maybe we PCs start affecting their xp gain. In which case, my npc would only be getting 50-70 xp per session since he attained lvl 50. Either way, SE should let ppl know. I submitted a bug report regarding this issue. I'll let you know if SE gets back to me.

A lot of folks are gonna hit 50 within the next week or so. It took 33 days and 44 calls for my NPC to hit 50. Assuming perfect conditions (meaning no deaths NPC or PC wise or any other mistakes [yeah right]), I think having an NPC going from level 30 to 50 in 39 calls is possible. It takes 135,000 xp to go from lvl 30 to 50. If you assume an NPC gets 200 xp a kill (reasonable assumption from my experiences [check the "My NPC50" link in my signature and click on the "August 10th, 2005 through August 16th, 2005" and "August 17th, 2005 through August 21st, 2005" links for proof]). The first 18 calls, NPCs can only stay for 15 kills so that's 15 kills times 18 calls times 200 xp equaling 54000 xp. The next 21 calls would be 20 kills times 21 calls times 200 xp equaling 84000 xp. 54000 xp plus 84000 xp equals 138000 (you'd be 1000 xp short with 20 calls).

I did pretty well getting lvl 50 in 44 calls in this case. ^^

They're basically beta testing NPCs. I think they said so in an article somewhere that they weren't finished and were testing the server's stability while people had them out.

Well, by now they would have noticed that the NPC is lvl 50 & should have something out soon about either not lvling anymore or being able to lvl more.
