My NPC refused to get rid of her lvl1 RSE, though she is slowly changing to lvl 30ish RSE now.

I think there is some rough level requirement, and based on your type.

If you went from attacker type -> healer type, they will slowly change to mage gear, but start from bottom up. Meaning lvl1 RSE -> lvl 33RSE.

So I guess it's better to keep your type constant, to get their limit armor. From looks of things, they change about 2 peices every session, so it would take 4 or so sessions to get to lvl 30 armor.

Yeah, i could never figure out how to see their damage on the chat log, I turned EVERY filter off and..it worked, still have yet to figure out which is which. it might be Allies i think...

No, it's definitely not Allies (that's for people outside your party but in your alliance AKA PC alliance members). Just make it so you can see NPC and Foe damage/abilities/effects and you'll see your npc.

My npc did a weird thing today. He upgraded his boots (looks like Leaping Boots) but downgraded his body piece back to Scale. No clue why I went from Shield to Attacker and let him stay on Attacker.

Try these 2 filters

Damage taken by foes
Attacks by NPC

I turned both of them off, and was able to see my NPC's damage.

i think you can only give certain weapons to luto and get a random weapon on your npc

Only certain weapons will work... a couple of pages back there was a list.

Sometimes it's the bronze set, other times it's the juneo set. I think they selected the weapon most easily attainable.

I.E will accept lvl 12uchikatana brought in jueno which but not lvl8 tachi in port bastok.

People can probably make a list, but most of them are obvious. Just find what you can buy at NPC.

Hmm, maybe its a patern. 3 - 5 - 8 - 13 - 15 ....etc, so...maybe at 8 we can trade armor? Iuno lol

I'm just wondering but. . . perhaps the new choices ( style selection, weapon choice ) is based on your character changing armor rather then how many times you summon it . . .

Called my npc 6 times now (lvl 32 still), but still can't get the weapon comment. Also, even with all filters off and dmg set to text (or both), the npcs dmg given and taken do not show. She also does not report hp, mp, or anything else despite selecting those when speaking with her right before heading out. Anyone else encountering any of this?

the NPC told me she can tell me when she's low on HP or MP. Also the TP, my NPC seems to only report when I have below 100TP. If I have more than 100, she just let her WS go. She's trying to SC with me probably.

It's actually quite smart too. If the mob's near death, it will wait until the next battle to use WS.
