      Could be lvl difference. Lvl 75 thf w/ assassin trait can SATA onto the NPC. But....couldn't get the hate off of her and she only had 30 hp left when the mob died. LOL

        I saw someone who must have set the NPC to healer mode - she was casting silence on the mob and she cast blindna on the player too... pretty impressive.

        And, Square sure changed the exp for low level mobs a lot... I was getting 10 exp off mobs that are about 20 levels lower than me today!

        My NPC hit 31 yesterday and now I set her to be an attacker. The session when she levelled she came out in lv1 female hume gear :sweat:

                You don't get anything, she asks you to find your NPC a weapon to use. She'll keep it for you, but I don't think anybody has figured out how to give her a weapon yet. Has anybody seen if she has another option when you talk with her?

                  you gave weapon to Luto. Your NPC then will use it. I confirm you can keep giving new weapons. At first, you can only give what Luto called newbie weapons to her. Check the list on the first page.

                    Just trade her a lower level item, mainly the Bronze/Ash/Butterfly set. She seems to take all of those. My Mugido has a scythe now, and seems to do pretty darn well with it, I actually started to lose hate for once since his attacks did much more than my staff, and if he got a critical hit, there's little I could do to get hate back as a BRD. D:

                    I noticed NPCs have a set amount of weapon skill for each weapon that they start with. As Mugido had Slice, Dark Harvest, and Shadow of Death already. Not long after fighting he also started to use Nightmare Scythe. Weren't exactly the best things to use on dhalmels and beetles, but we managed to get a lot of Impaction chains going, so it was nice to MB with something other than Fire and Water. He also dinged 33 on our second outing today, but so far I haven't seen any new options pop up yet.

                      ive only summoned him 3 times, does that thing after you summon him, and toss the pearl work? so you can get 2 uses every 20hrs or so?

                            right now since im 74, NPC level 30ish isn't helping anything yet. They are fun to play with tho and i really enjoy levelling it up.
