Re: The EXP Change of July 2005.

From what you mention I really don’t see a difference in xp gained for easy prey-Even match mobs. From my experience solo in your level range this is the xp I have got prior to the patch. Easy prey 18xp, Easy prey+ 25xp,Easy prey ++ 36xp, Decent challenge 50xp, Decent challenge+ 72xp, Even match 100xp. The only thing I do see is the mobs that gave 36xp before now give 41xp.

Re: The EXP Change of July 2005.

Players are now able to earn experience from monsters of a wider level range than previously possible. Experience points earned by defeating “decent challenge and “easy prey monsters will also increase in some instances.
Note that is says "in some instances." Nowhere does it say ALL easy prey and decent challenge monsters will give increased EXP. My guess, as someone already stated, is that the range of things that check EP to a Lv75 player has been increased, so to compensate for this things that were EP or DC before had to have the amount of EXP they give you adjusted. I haven't personally tested this out but that is what I understand this to mean.

Just look around for varying mobs. I personally, pre-patch experienced 86exp from a DC Spider when i was 63 in Boya Tree, so i'm pretty sure its a much more refined method of determining exp. . .now as to what that method is is still a mystery.

Maybe by some instances they are referring to CoP areas. It would sort of make sense that this is a possibility because of how they also allow exp chains in the CoP areas now. I think it's a move to push some of the population to exping in CoP areas and try to even out the exp zones
