I don't see why, soloing is great! >.> I especially like soloing on my thf/nin, the evasion + utsusemi + bolts make it easy. Only problem is -aga spells = pain and suffering if I can't get a sleep bolt to land in time. :x

Thanks for the info Grunion. KA is plannig on running around trying to do as many of the new quests as possible tonight so this will help save us some time.

ok some things i dont get

1) every NPC seems to be warrior, no matter what race (talked to other people, theirs used provoke and has sword/shield, as did mine)

2) the quest NPC says something about "redezvous points," how theres 1 in ru'lude.. well here's the text http://etf.joe.to/images/signal_text.jpg someone on another forum said they could change the NPC "mode" from shield to attack but i cant find anything to activate it

3) you can only summon outside (not in town), it desummons if you talk to it, and it desummons if you zone. with 20 hour refresh, that seems kinda weak.

4) seems to be level 30, it didnt get agro in batallia downs and was hitting saplings for 50-60 (mine is galka, didn't compare damage with other races). is that in line with a level 30 war?

5) the quest seems to "stay open." when you talk to luto after you have earring she asks you a question

i didnt dare to say i wanted to quit, but maybe thats how you erase your NPC and get a new one?

with 20 hour refresh, that seems kinda weak.

In some of the new item lists, there seemed to be other npcs that you could call as well, hopefully the recharge time on them is less.

I can't d/l the update, so I'm just going by word of mouth.

But supposedly the NPCs don't have a "job". Instead, they have a "mode". The default mode is "Shield", which I assume is tank. I read somewhere you can check your NPC's mode, and also change it somehow?

or you can talk to it to desummon it, but yes, either way you cant resummon for 20 hours.

i did find out a couple things:

some ppl are saying it starts at 30 (although it will be capped to match you if you are lower)

the redezvous apparently is a spot in those 4 zones where you go can check out your buddy's stats and change his mode

if you talk to luto and select "i want to quit this task" she erases your memory and you start over (before quest 1) and can choose a new race/name/head style.

Even if you desummon it, it goes away for 20 hours, right.....?
