    No, not quite. You see, I spend a lot of time helping people, and I do give a lot to the community; you are simply showing prejudice because of one occurance. You must understand, also, had this line not even been in place, everyone would've gotten through to the event just as they did if it were, though it would not be on a 'first-come-first-served' basis, but rather on a 'spam-the-???-faster-get-into-BCNM-faster' sort of thing.

      so because you spend time helping ppl you deserve the right to cut the line?

      Who the hell in this game *never* help anything?

        You know how when you first start entering BCNM, it shows a short little CS, right?
        While this CS is playing, your character is still standing in its' original position, next to the door, or whatever place the ???/Burning Circle/whatever for the event is. If 'Cure' is cast on your character during this cutscene, you will be thrown out of it, your dialog box will say 'Event Skipped', and any other person will be able to go in. If people keep casting cure on you, (I.E. a large number of players spamming the spell, such as in my case.), you will not even be able to access the ???/Burning Circle/whatever else, or even MOVE your character.
        This is what I was referring to when I said 'harassment' and 'exploiting the game' before. Sorry for not elaborating this part, I just assumed people knew.

                .. hate to jump into the can of worms and all that... but I think I see where Tsukiro is coming from. I mean, I think he isn't trying to justify anything, or saying anything about "right" and "wrong" -- but is just saying that it might be a bad precedent for players to be able to "take the law into their own hands" sort of thing... that said...

                I think it's a great precedent. sort of. I think in, for instance, the "real world" legal system, the law must be absolute. because you surely can't trust humanity to not screw each other over... but anyways... inside this game, I'd be disappointed in the GMs if they made the people stop cure-spamming you.

                I mean, you can be quite sure that if a hostile linkshell was curespamming some guy to keep him out of some quest event for no reason, they'd put a stop to it, somehow. In this case, you were so far wrong, and they were so far right, that I can't imagine the GMs doing anything besides smiling and letting the players keep the order that they can... It's not down to the very letter of the "law" -- EULA -- but on the other hand, it's up to SE to enforce the EULA, and in this instance, it really didn't need enforcing.

                ======================

                back on topic, has anyone come up with any breakthroughs as to how to get faces other than the 3 listed? a guy in another thread said he got hte male tarutaru face 4 by saying no to the other two then yes to Red Ghost. I guess it's just hearsay... has anyone proved more than the 3 are even possible?
                WHM: Name one positive, non-destructive use for your magic.
                BLM: Ha! That's easy. Give me a scenario.
                WHM: Ok. An orphanage is on fire. What do you do?
                BLM: Use FIRE-3 to torch the building and then pick off any survivors with BOLT-2 set to a wide dispersal.

                  Taru face 4 is one of the three available. The chart jei posted just happened to be wrong on that. No way to get anything except the three.

                    What he did was wrong and what they did was wrong. Two wrongs do not make a right. There should have been a GM monitoring the situation and dealing with cutters and spammers. Personally I think that cutters should have been dropped in Rabao by the GM's and then there would be no need for people to spam cures.

                    Over 2 days, I spent 14 hours helping people with the Fellowship Quest. I started out in Jeuno answering questions. (A friend said I wouldn't last long. ;P fc!) Then I moved to the Nechropolis where I helped keep things orderly and the line moving. I also tried to diffuse tense situations with some humor. In the total of 11 hours I spent there, I only saw a handful of people cut. I'm proud to say that the community on Midgard worked together to make this event fun. I had help from others telepoting, answering questions, and keeping the line moving. {Good job!}{everyone}

                      After you beat all the NMs and received your NPC, is there a way to get rid of it and get a new one with a new hair style?

                        Yes, talk to luto and say "quit." then confirm twice, then trade her your signal pearl. You'll have to start from scratch tho.

                            Figured I'd post this even though the thread was turning a little old. I thought it might bring some hope to people still waiting to get to lvl 40 to do this quest.

                            I don't know if I was just lucky or just lucky, but I managed to solo the dragon as a lvl 30 rdm (my highest lvl job at the time) just last night (my buddy Voltosar got the record at just a hair over 4 min with his lvl 36 drk, Bismarck server).

                            I hadn't planned on fighting the dragon till i was closer to 40 due to knowing it had a lvl 40 lvl cap. Only reason I had actually gone and prepped for it was because my buddy and I thought we might be able to fight it as a duo, there was a glitch though and I couldn't select the hut door, ended up having to rezone after he solo'd the dragon. I thought, what the hell and decided to go for it anyway.

                            First off, kiting it with gravity wasn't all too easy due to the small area and the fact that it can attack you regardless of which way it's facing. It did allow me to paralyze it, dot it (Bio), and throw off a nuke before it got up to me though. Only knocked a sliver of health off of it before it knocked me down to just over half my health. At that point, I got the cutscene where my NPC joined in. There was a frantic minute while I was running around before I remembered that my NPC wouldn't attack until I engaged it. My NPC tanked quite well from that point, and my biggest worry was that my NPC would die. Since she had control of the hate though, I proceeded to nuke it repeatedly, let off a WS, and then my NPC finished it off with her own WS. During the course of the whole thing I downed 1 pineapple juice, 1 yag drink, a hi-ether, and a hi-potion. Finished in just over 6 minutes.

                            Although I don't plan on doing it again because I got the NPC I wanted, if I was better prepared and planned it better, I probably could've cut my time a whole lot.

                            Anyways, there's hope for lvl 30's right there. Good luck to ya! ^^
